May post na siguro dito tungkol kay Rick Allen, but then, a lot of new forumites and let us hear their views:

"Rick joined Def Leppard at the age of 15, right before the band signed their record contract. He lost his arm in a car accident in 1984, but this did not stop him from being a drummer; with the help from a semi-electronic drum kit, Rick became "a better drummer than he was when he had two arms" (as said by band's vocalist-Joe Elliott). In 1986, the drum kit was completely electronic, but since 1995, some parts are acoustic again, depending on his studio or live setting."

Magandang inspiration para sa mga drummer, ano masasabi nyo? Lately, I saw the music video of VH1 rock honor awards, seems like he's playing full acoustics, awesome.

well nun una nainspire ako pero nabawasan ng kaunting kaunit nun malaman kong he was driving under the influence of alcohol.

na-touch ako sa banda na hindi siya pinalitan. love this strong among bandmates is very rare.

Through perseverance, the support of his band mates, and a custom drum kit, he remained with the band to enjoy continued success.

bilib ako sa kanya dahil hindi cya tumigil kahit isa na lang kamay nya.. bilib din ako sa banda nya dahil hindi siya pinalitan. sana ma inspire mga drummers d2.. hindi lang drummers pati ang mga magka banda... ayos kasi ung ganun hindi pinabayaan..

I always wonder before(like early 90's) how Rick Allen of Def Leppard play the drums with just an arm.

Well while looking for a Taylor Swift (yes I'm a fan so to Kanye West, SCREW YOU!!!

) Live videos I stumbled upon Her Live with Def Leppard and made me remember that I was curious how He plays the drum. So after a decade of intrigue and with the help of youtube. My childhood question is now answered.

Me too. Must have sucked hairballs to wake up after a crash crash realizing you lost an arm, then realizing you're a drummer. And a good drummer at that. (Okay lang maputulan ako if I sucked at drumming anyway)

To be honest, after watching the docu on MTV I practiced with one hand lang. Sabi ko, dapat handa. That was around 1996. Hehehe. Uto-uto pa ako sa mainstream media.

kudos din sa bandmates niya. kung ibang mga tao siguro yung dinump na lang siya ng basta-basta. but true as brothers, they stuck with rick and mas naging successful pa sila.

2 major tragedies ang nangyari sa Def Leppard. Una nung car accident ni Rick Allen that cost him his arm. Pangalawa when Steve Clark died in his sleep. But the band didn't gave up. They got over Rick's accident, and got Vivian Campbell to fill Steve's shoes.

Hanggang ngayon marami sa mga drummers di nila alam na isa lang ang kamay ng drummer ng Def Leppard.

Def Leppard- definitely my main influence, melodic all throughout. Long live Melodic Rock.
