HELP!  a PSU situation: I'm considering two sellers DIY psu's and I got a bit worried about just using a "Regulated" unit VS one with Isolated outputs due to a video showing high frequency noise from some pedals.  I'm planning to buy a "Regulated" unit composed of: (5 DC9v outputs & 1 DC18v output for my main drive) the only time based effect (if that has anything to do with noise) would be a neunaber stereo delay at the end of the chain...and that's that.  Do you think the 18v output could cause any problems especially at high volume levels? Should I ditch the idea and save up for an Isolated power unit? Thanks!

Btw sirs, can you also suggest a good psu builder who can build me a quality unit which won't take months to finish?  Thanks!

I suggest you just save up for a T rex or a Voodoo labs. Not dissing our local psu builders but I can say that the Trex and voodoo labs psu are quality products. :)

Yes. Been using a unit he built for me for years.

i'd go for emil (pedalmax), or if basic needs lang, with yahoo or unoh. i wouldn't go for Kenzu PSU's anymore. daming cases ng bad products from him.
hahaha ako binibiyak ko muna yung wetpaks para makita kung may yellow thingy hahahaha

Thanks sir Gunslinger, sir Ralph!  Medyo basic lang talaga kailangan ko.  I was about to place a PSU job for Emil,  kaso mukhang aabutin pa ng December kung magpapagawa ako sa haba ng pila.  Goes to show naman siguro na quality ang trabaho, kaso medyo nagmamadali ako...so i went for Kenzu and i'll be getting it tomorrow na, sana ok naman.  Pag hindi... well, Lesson learned na lang.  May the force be with my PSU (God save my pedals!)

mga sir, master and boss, tulong naman po, regarding power supply, i have a power supply unit for my rig w/ 10 slots, (9 for 9 volts and one for 12volts)

Question 1: i know na may pagka-noob yung tanong ko, pero i just wanna be sure,,,, im planning to avail an EP booster, di po ba masisira
yung pedal if i plug it in sa 12volts for added head room sa tone, i've check sa website ng xcotic pedals and EP booster has a voltage capacity of up to 18volts, just for assurance sake...

Questionn 2: is it bad for the tone or for the pedals kung some of my pedals will be plug in to a one-spot type of power supply and some will be designated sa isa kong isolated PU (since my pedals are getting many :-) )

thanks in advance!

question 1: pwede yan. pero mas masaya parin pag 18Volts hahaha

Question 2: Pwede rin yan. plug the non power hungry pedals to the one spot. and the power hungry ones (I.e. delays) sa isolated PSU. :)

Hi.

Anybody here familiar or happen to distribute SS Aspire amplifiers?

Any feedback on these? Thanks!  :)

CarlSys Trading distributes these locally IIRC.

I tried one of their SS Amps, 60 Watts if im not mistaken. it sounds like your typical generic solid state amp. sound breaks easily when you get too loud so it might not be usable for live performances.
