Sharp Fretboard Edges
« on: February 28, 2013, 09:21:23 AM »
This is the reason why I hate most brand new and custom made guitars. Masyadong matalas yung kanto ng fretboard. I discovered only few guitar brands and models actually had the fretboard edge beveled for comfort (Washburn custom shops and the Fender Deluxe series do). What I find annoying are custom build guitars that have 90 degree edges, not sure if these luthiers are aware about this fretboard issue or simply lack experience.

Check out the video below

Don't mind the whole relicing process in the video, I know it's stupid. Just can't believe that PRS will ship a guitar from the factory with sharp fretboard egdes.

Check your guitar. Sharp edges are not finger friendly :) It can be fixed with a file and sandpaper.
