Yeah. i don't understand why they don't like JM. When i watch TMZ and other hollywood gossip shows, they always make John come off as a tool.  :x

Because those neanderthals don't have a sense of irony or a sophisticated sense of humor...that's why John loves taking the piss out of them since it's so easy.

Saw him live twice. The feel of his music is so different from his CD release. You'd appreciate him more once you see him live and do all his antics, licks and comedy.

.....and yes he looks weird most of the time when he sings, but that's ok.

hehe, it's starting to sound like a kwentong barbero to me, pero I also remember him saying that not many people went. it's probably the time when I could only hear "No such thing"/"back to you" at NU 107.

wasn't there a rumor last year that he was supposed to come over around november '07? oh well...ipon-ipon na lang just in case.

right on..

what the?? cy, ikaw pala si silverfilter?! haha, napanood na kita a few times. u even played at my brothere's band's album launch. anyway. OT.

ang masasabi ko lang, true artists and musicians never diss any other artist or musician. Who's to say that what you do or what you play isn't good? As if they were the one who gave the passion and talent to the musician. For those who love mayer's music, great :-D for those who don't, ok lang. As long as the don't bash other people's music and talent.
Thank God for music..

Based on the interview articles that I've been reading, and also his blog - John Mayer is not a blues guy, his a pop guy with blues influences.  So his main music will most probably still be within the realm of pop, not that there is anything wrong with that, with some hints of blues.  From time to time, he will probably lash out with some TRIOesque album, but that will be in a 1 blues : 4 pop ratio.

Yes. i also think that there is a sense of POP in his music. and yes there is nothing wrong with that. the problem with us is we often see Pop music as Bubble gum POP (NSYNC, BSB, Miley Cyrus, etc) alone.

just recently been a fan again by john mayer. one of the musicians that i wanted to copy when i was just starting in guitar, kaya lang hindi ko magaya yung mga chords and licks niya dati so i switched to punk which is easier  :-D but recently, i saw him play neon in a youtube vid and sobrang na-wow ako. mas-enjoy ko yung newer or slower stuff niya like vultures, dreaming with a broken heart and gravity tapos daughters. i say long live john mayer and may he never stop making great music!
