too many haters...
i use both! from an artist's standpoint lamang ang ios (garageband, amplitude, brushes, procreate, artrage) kumpara android (ehem... free tuner, sketchbook na meron din sa ios) you can be creative on the go! ios wins here 'coz they advertise their products as creative multimedia gadgets, whereas most android fones are advertised as smart-computer phones. which in a sense is true that's why if ur techy guy, android is the best choice.
samsung has been producing good products and i like em all. had a galaxy note one, gave it my cousin kc i bought a galaxy s3 and it's a very nice fone! iwas gonna ditch the s3 nung lumabas iphone5 but nung tinignan ko specs, i'll just stick nlng sa fone ko.
my first ipad was an ipad 2 and im very happy with it, minsan ko nalang talaga gamitin laptop ko. tpus binenta ko at bumili ako ng ipad4 kasi mas mabilis at mas makaka drawing ako ng mas malaking canvass.
naka try nako ng samsung tab 10, my cousin was selling i said try ko muna for 2 days... it was good then i started putting widgets that i liked then biglang bumagal, tinanggal ko sya, bumilis nga pero then the android experience was gone. binalik ko nalang.
for me it's preference, parang kotse the more to products choose from, the better. you don't diss a vw owner just because u think your bmw is better. just drive the damn thing on the road!
but to answer the question i think samsung will get a bigger edge in the near future but i don't care, every company has it's peaks, just like sony did in the 80's and 90's. after samsung many predicted na huawei will comeout strong. maybe i'm old but back then you dont buy a samsung appliance, the name sounds Fugly... ngayun may huawei n paparating. lol!
