Pls recommend a brand of 5.1 home theater sound system that sounds awesome but is quite affordable!

If you can include the price range and where i can buy it, i will be forever in your debt.

can only recommend what I have/use.

sa website nila, dadalawa lang ang model ng speakers . $:-\$
price range seguro is 10K-14K?(very affordable)
with proper placement of speakers., it does the job naman.
mag t-two years na yung speakers ko pero masarap pa rin manuod ng Avatar at Cars.

hehe optical audio is just another type of audio connection between the player and the sound system.

if youre familiar with the red and white audio cables, parang ganun din sya. pinag kaiba lang, kung maarte ka sa audio quality and if you plan to simplify your cabling, youd definitely pick optical audio units..masyadong fragile at mahal nga lang yung optical cable kasi gawa sya sa fiber optic eh..but the clarity of the audio and the capability to transmit 5.1 to 7.1 channel sound to just a single cable, not bad di ba?

Got it! Ganyan ang gamit ng Bose system na tinignan ko! Kaso P200,000 yun! Di ko kaya yun hahahaha

i havent checked the stores lately. mine is the entry level Samsung HTZ310 which i got about 5-6 years ago. bundled with my samsung lcd tv, dagdag lang ng 5k. dvd player na din sya with optical in to receive audio from my ASUS OPlay Mini which i bought 2 years ago. it was a good combination, imo. the decoding quality of the ASUS and the 5.1 utilization in Samsung. kahit downloaded movies lang sa net, gumaganda ang tunog pati separation ng front and back speakers.

yun nga lang, may problema nitong model na to ng samsung eh after the warranty expired, lumabas na yung "Protect Mode" error. my online research told me that something inside got burned and the unit automatically turns itself off. ang solution, to bring it to a Samsung service center, have the burned chip replaced and pay up to 5k in chip purchase and service. thats really disappointing. and theres a wait time of up to 5 months depende daw sa shipment ng replacement chips. bummer.

kaya ayun, naka tengga na lang sya sa kahon.

cant give you an exact figure chong. you can try visiting appliance stores for a 5.1 channel dvd player with optical receiver, yun lang marerecommend ko. may mga brands ngayon na mura na maganda pa mag perform tulad nyang DeVant. yun nga lang, wala daw optical out eh.

yup, thats where i bought my LCD tv + 5.1 channel samsung combo. mura bentahan dun noon pero lately parang nagko-compete na yung mga appliance stores sa SM at Abenson sa pricing at deals.

another store i could recommend is Listening Room sa megamall. mababait mga clerks dun. problema napamahal ako nung nagpa-estimate ako ng branded 2.1 channel system with amps sa kanila umabot ng Php29k haha! pero almost high-end branded system yun so i think the price quote is fair.

nung andito ka sa dubai sana bumili ka, sinamahan pa kita

binili ko lately yung LG tall boy, nasa around 1k aed.

meron akong trip na na trip Harman pero ang mahal naman masyado.

hehe di ko nasagot to sensya na chong..im using a 2 channel Philips micro component system na almost 7 years ko na gamit. dvd player din sya pero ngayon pang aux audio ko sa ASUS Oplay Mini..

i cant do any upgrades yet dahil:

-alam mo yung tinanong ko sayo noon na pinag iipunan namin ngayon and

-di kasya sa nilipatan naming apartment ang kahit anong home theater system na lalagpas ng 2.1 channel.

-higit sa lahat, noise level. medyo tabi tabi yung mga apartment units sa amin and i need to limit the volume of our speakers para di makaistorbo sa iba.

pag nagkabahay ako, lahat yang restrictions na yan, tanggal. id definitely invest on a quality high end HT system at gagawa ako ng man-cave! haha
