Sarado na pala Pico de Loro...
Yes. First reason is the jeje hikers na ubod ng kakapal ng mukha aakyat ng bundok tapos iiwan dun sa taas mga basura nila. 2nd is ung SMDC ata un na issue.

Sagada caves closed following boy’s death

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines -- Mountain Province tourism haven Sagada has closed its caves following the death of a boy in a fall and said the popular destinations would remain off limits to tourists until town elders decide otherwise.

Sagada tourism officer Robert Pangod Pangod said only Balangagan cave remains open to tourists. Sumaguing, Lumiang and Crystal caves are closed.

Pangod said the decision to close the caves was made after Rael Aglolo Gambican, 15, of Barangay Ambasing and a Grade 8 student at Balugan National High School, died after a fall inside Crystal cave as he played Monday afternoon.

Gahibla lang yung mention nitong issue na ito. So the residents were just quietly swept under the rug. Any other link or info to this story?

BS diba?

Hello guys! Just want to ask if Pico de Loro is open for climbers. We're planning to go there this coming Thurday but because of the recent quakes in Batangas I just want to be sure that we're not gonna be spoiling our vacation just seeing it close when we get there. Happy climbing! Cheers!

Missing for 11 days, Korean trekker survives by drinking own urine

A Korean traveler bound for Banaue who went missing earlier this month was found alive on Tuesday.
Choi Sungkyu checked out from an inn at Barlig, Mt. Province last June 9 and had not been seen until today.
Police last communicated with Choi on June 13.
Choi was found at around 10:40 a.m., Tuesday in a part of a mountain in Barangay Latang, Barlig.

"May hunter na local dun na kasama sa search and rescue team na nakakita sa kanya. Mahina na siya. Hindi alam mag-English nung local, pero nakuha pa rin niya i-convince na sumama sa kanya papunta sa rice fields,” Police Chief Inspector Carolina Lacuata said.

Choi was able to survive 11 days in the mountain without enough food and water.
He told the rescuers that the only food he had was a bag of peanuts which he thriftily ate when he realized he was lost.
After he finished the peanuts, he chewed his paper bills, believing that these contain salt which could help him survive.
He drank spring water, but there were moments when he could not find a source, and being desperately thirsty, he drank his own urine.
