If there is a need, we can design a one or two day seminar this summer here at TRACKStudios, where we have already done several.  We can concentrate on a bit of audio foundation, acquisition and mixing.  Definitely, there will be a cost as seminars and learning of this type normally would entail costs.  If there are those interested, say so.  We are presently conducting some seminars and training programs for private entities and we can use the same training outline for those who want to expand their knowledge in the recording process and acoustics.  Let me know.

I don't know if OT po ako but I will attend PCEC-sponsored seminar with Sir Mike Pedero on April 26, 2008 at PCEC Office. Our pastor made a reservation for me and my churchmate..

But, I still want to be counted here Sir Lynman.. Thanks and Godbless!

PCEC - Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches

Our pastor was given an invitation for the event. Sorry brother, I don't have any idea if this is open to all or by invitation only.

The seminar is basically on church sound.  This a project of some Christian churches' organization, to improve the quality and intelligibility of church audio.  I still have to find out exactly the limits of my topic.  The approach is "live sound" - preparation, what to go for, how to do it, etc.  This will include system set up, micing, mixing, levels and all.

I just don't know if it is open to all.  Call PCEC.

Hello JV21!

Sana lang huwag mong masamain pag sinagot ka ng "you may google"... o kaya use the search button.  Ibig sabihin lang nun, either nasa internet na talaga yung sagot mo o kaya may comprehensive thread nang napagusapan.  There is a possibility that your questions are considered FAQ's (frequently asked questions). Instead of starting a new thread, pwede na sigurong mai-refer ka sa isang previously existing topic.

I myself experienced this.  For the nth time, I had to ask Guitar Central how to change strings on my guitar na may Floyd Rose.  I got the answer na, "please check YouTube." I actually did and now I know how.

Try to imagine how many forumites have continuously asked these questions -

Sir, bakit kailangang i-premaster ang mix ngayon?

Are Behringer stomp pedals any good, considering their cheap price?

Ano ba ang scalarizer?

Pare, ano ang pinakamasarap na burger?

If you have been adviced to go to a related thread, okay lang yon.  Mas matrabaho nang kaunti...pero di tapad tayo tamarin para di gawin.

FWIW.  Peace.

OT - I'd like to update my database on this... personally, it was a toss-up among the old Dayrit's, Jack's burger in Monumento, and the old A&W when they opened up the very first branch along H'way 54 on the place where Club Dredd used to be. (man, I'm fudging old...  :| ) Loved the smell of those burgers, though.  :-D

Haha...you just couldn't help it, could you, Kit....

But wait, A&W wasn't where Club Dredd used to be.  That used to be the old D'Mark's !!! A&W was nearer that area na may dating Fish Market along EDSA (mas malapit nang kaunti sa Farmers).  The other A&W was in UN Avenue. Dayrit's of course is an alltime favorite. They are now here along Mother Ignacia tapat ng ABS.  They closed the one in the Morato rotonda after the Cochise Beebom/Antonio Sanchez incident (remember?).  Don't know if the one near La Salle Taft is still there.

Boy, am I hungry.

Boy, aren't we really old!

Boy, we are really OFF TOPIC! Sorry.

Still OT (and getting hungrier):

I was but a pup when we went to that EDSA A&W; it was on a gentle slope so you could be spot on about the location. I remember the waitresses rollerskating to our car (a Ford Fairlane) and setting the tray on the window. Too young to appreciate the waitresses then (I remember they wore short rollerderby skirts), but old enough to know good food.

Ha! Back to topic...

Orange skirts and undies pero may black pantyhose.

I was also too young to appreciate but also old enough TO REMEMBER.  :-D

But really, I have so many fond memories of Dad and myself enjoying those burgers.

(Further OT)  I'd prefer the old Tropical Hut burgers when they used to have a branch in Quezon Avenue where National Bookstore is now.  They had a store on EDSA/Ortigas Ave. also.  Their burgers now do not taste as good as they used to.  A & W definitely is a favorite.  After parties and gigs (I was in early high school then), A % W is the place to be.  During those times, 5 Pesos (green colored paper money) used to fill up half tank of my old Volks (started driving kinda early; we used to fake our ages to get licenses).  Those were the days ....

Now back to topic ... sorry, just could not help reminiscing the good old days ... where Fender guitars and Vox amps made by Aroin in Sta. Mesa looked like the real thing! I wonder if there are still those fakes in existence now.
