yes we did before.  xstatic has a few of these pd woofers.  

for comparison sake,  'normal' to 'loud' levels,  almost the same response and output but i would give some edge to pd for more bass definition.  but from 'loud' to 'extremely loud',  the sd 18el is the clear beast  .  this is when you can clearly hear the difference between a real 1000watts from an 800watts woofer    that's why i invested on the sd 18el.

xstatic's subscoop    power amps are soundstandard ca18 and then we tried them on the crown vz5000.

Aside from the PD drivers,  Void V18 1000 is a top brand also in the European touring circuit.  No local dealers yet I think?

perhaps Neusch is pronounced like Neumann (noyman) and Neutrik (made in Liechtenstein, must be German?) well, if i can't afford a Neumann, i might as well pronounce it right, right!? yun na lang ang konsuelo ko! he he

ang ibig din sabihin ni sir stoney dito ay halos lahat ng binibenta na china-made speakers ay 'overrated' ang specs at power ratings para magmumukhang mura sila but in fact you don't get what you really need and want.  they usually make unbelievable 'claims'.  it's easy to label a woofer as 1000 watts or 1500 watts but in reality,  swerte ka kung papalo sa 600 watts ito.  mas ok din if you read from other forums about pro-audio to really know on how a particular brand performs abroad. . . and to check if a specific brand really exists.

I also read that the PD1850 horn sub requires speakers that have 5" voice coils like PD1850, VOID V18-1000/1200 and P.Audio SD18el.  I'm not sure if I read it on a Romanian sponsored forum.

Bro, it seems that the Sd 18el is the only asian made speaker that can match the "big guns" from Europe like the Pd1850 and Void V18 speakers at almost half the price but I budget for only less than 10k each.  We might still reorder the C18 650 soon. HArhar

For the case of the PD1850 horn sub.  But unlike the Martin Audio WSX18 subs,  the C18 650 can be at par with top European brands like the Void V18 1000 and Precision Devise PD184.  I've seen graphical presentations of a hornresp between the C18 650 and the Void V18 1000 and a PD184 for a WSX18 sub and they almost have very similar responses.    Don't you think it is fairly priced at 9200 each only right?

Yes before Philmusic,  I was doing some research for the right replacement for my Fane Colossus 18",  the C18 650 will fit and at a fair price.  But more than the price,  it's really at par with known speaker brands in Europe.  Although I end up with the newer 800 watts version since I might upgrade my amp soon that's why the C-18elf seems better for me.

I think by design this should be the case since a larger diameter voice coil means greater power handling.  

For the case of the C18 650 having a 1dB gain over the 18sound 1000w,  probably the 18sound is just overrated ? ? ?

Here's one for the books.  It's quite obvious that the Sd18, is the one at par, and, in my lowly eyes, has a bit of an advantage over the Void V18.
