« on: February 20, 2013, 09:20:31 AM »

Any shares or infos would help.

Salamat!

if youre using apps that lets you download maps for offline usage, pwede.

i have tried different map applications like OMaps and Maps Offline and they all work fine. nagkakatalo lang sa resource usage.

if you prefer android devices, just download the free app in Play Store - open the app - look for options for stored maps - download the preferred country/location - turn off your wifi and data and voila, you got yourself a GPS device that can pinpoint your location kahit di ka connected sa net. the accuracy is still an issue pero kung libre mo naman nakuha, why complain di ba?

I'll have to re-try that.

Tried it now. Almost entire NCR is less than 10MB. I didn't include the street view though.

If youre on IOS(iphone) you might wanna try WAZE gps app. :)

I'd highly recommend Garmin. Stand alone kasi, no BS, no data plan needed. Google maps offline cache is not reliable.

I use waze just for its traffic update even though I have a data plan.

it depends on the map that i'm using. sometimes its crappy and have directed me to routes that are just plain bonkers. but it's better than having no one to ask for directions, specially at night on a really strange place.

Got my Samsung Galaxy Y, I usually use this when going to the places na hindi ko masyado kabisado...
I love the gps of my phone...
Just cache the place na pupuntahan mo, para hindi mo na kailangan ng mobile internet para makuha yung lugar...
And I also love yung app na android speedometer... Accurate...
