One of the reasons why I didn't get the Fairfiled Circuitry Four-eyed Fuzz is that the pedal looks too boring. No paint. That's not a fuzz.

shreadhead .. very versatile pedal!!! 



Im thinking of a nice graphics.. malamang
printed sticker..  pwede din if you order ...
give the graphics yun lalagay ko sa sticker...
personalize...  pwede nga "mukha mo" yung asa pedal
alam mong iyo yun...  hahaha 
medyo time consuming hand-paint
pero astig talaga..

sure man! gawan ko ng short description siguro bawat isa pag nakapag-settle na ako sa bago kong place, asikasuhin ko na yung proper labels. pero yung VK iba siguro hehe. isip pa ako ng magandang way.

may fuzz ang fairfield na sobrang type ko. parang bitcrusher na hindi, at nyeta, dami kong naiisip na application sa togs!

I'm so loving the fuzz face I've made especially the farty bass sound. Dapat palang maging mahasa ka rin sa pag gamit ng fuzz. Dapat triads lang yung gamitin mo kung gawin mo siyang pang rhythm. Doesn't sound good when strumming more than 3 notes. YMMV.

depende pa rin tol sa design. HFe-dependent ang madaming fuzz circuits - pag ginamitan yung iba ng mga high gain trannies iba na tone nila. that's where circuit modifications come to play to compensate kahit papano yung gain range na habol. kung 1:1 parts copy kasi pero magsa-substitute ka lang nga transistor, iba ang tunog eh. experiment lang nang experiment, pero maigi na ring magbasa to fully understand the operation nung mga parts. kahit hanggang ngayon nasosorpresa pa rin ako sa nalalaman ko well, dahil siguro di naman ako EE

Yup. Tama din. I don't have something to compare eh kaya pag gumana na yung circuit eh masaya na ako. What I've made lang din yung sa akin eh instead of a trimmer, ginawa kong potentiometer yung pang bias ng trannies. And more so, BC108/9 yung nasa schem, eh walang available sa amin kaya 3904 yung ginamit ko. I guess 3904 has more Hfe. Mas higher yung gain, right?

Anyway, Sean, how did it go yung kay Kevin na gawa mong fuzz with booster? How was the sequence? guitar>bossfet>fuzz or guitar>fuzz>bossfet?

I have some pending circuits (fatboost, SHO, Bluesbreaker and Fuzzface). Thinking of making a 2-in-1 stomp. What's nice to pair up with the Fuzzface?

that i want to do..  maintindihan lahat ng parts ng circuit..
yung tamang sa isip lang.. alam mo na mangyayari
if babaan mo yung isang resistor or taasan..  hehehe

base on my experience... i have stock (around 25) of germanium transistors..
and have tested them all sa fuzz face circuit.. some will sound good
some bad.. High gain don't clean up that much.. Low gain will clean up..
pero bitin naman sa gain...  in consideration sa HFE.. its good to know this...
plus your  "EAR" ...  a pair of germanium transistor with 80 and 120 gain is
good.. but not all..  depende pa din "Sonically" by ear na ito after biasing..
"natanto" ko lang ito while tweaking..  Why these boutique pedal makers...
always use  OC44, AC128, NKT275... etc...  sa Fuzzface? 
because they sound "beautiful" against other germanium transistor with the same Hfe...

Gusto ko yung farty sound eh.  Taba pakinggan. Ma try nga magslap. Parang magandang idea yon.

I got mine with a bias knob to tweak lang din. So bale, gain, volume and bias knobs.

It's good that you have available trannies to choose from. I'm not from Luzon and here in our locality, limited lang yung available na mga electronic parts. Ma try nga ng 5088 naman. I have few I bought from epektos.
