parang mas ok sa multiply.. kasi parang andun na lahat.. pero wala akong hilig talaga sa blog. ewan ko ba di ko lang feel

if you want to vent out without caring about anybody replying, blogspot is for you. just disable the comments and don't put a shoutbox.

if you're a cam-whore and like to blog once in a while and you like other people to comment on whatever, Multiply is for you.

if you're just plain bored and you want tons of options on your blog, go to Facebook.

or mag-friendster ka nalang. hehe

nahassle ako jan nung naging Google na yung may ari ng blogger. badtrip andaming prosesong kinailangang gawin para maka-login ulit.

hehehe...itong year lang na to ako nag start nyan blogging na yan e...kaya hindi ko alam na iba pala registration/login process nila dati...

anyway, minsan lang ako mag blog...usually may laman ang utak ko na pwede ilagay pero dahil preoccupied nako sa work, wala akong time na mag type...

I'm a blogaholic. I like writing eventhough I'm not a writer. (Kaya ang daldal ko dito, coz this is the only site I frequent that is not blocked by my office).

I've been blogging since 2002, my first blog is at Livejournal.com, then I have one at Tabulas as well as in multiply. I'm still posting updates actively in all three.

Customization-wise, I think madali ang Tabulas and Multiply coz you use cascading style sheets. With LJ, they have LJ-specific tags that you have to study and familiarize yourself with. Ang tagal ko ng di nababago ang layout ko in all of my blogs, medyo kinalawang ako dun.

I like LJ because there are filter groups wherein only your chosen friends can see your private posts. Yun lang ang advantage ng LJ.

Blogging has allowed me to express myself better both in English and Filipino. I may not be an aspiring writer, but at least I've seen my growth as a person through blogging. When I look at my posts from 2002, natatawa talaga ako. It brings back really good memories.

you can also do that in Multiply.

Super late response, but here goes...

The originals LJ, MovableType, TypePad, WordPress and Blogger (later becoming Blogspot) were realy intended for blogging. Multiply followed suit and added this feature when they saw that blogging was becoming popular. That's why the original blog sites, all CSS-driven now by the way, look more 'sedate' than the crazy Multiply templates. This is because blogs are more content-driven, meaning, they were originally intended as journals, therefore, were to be read.

Then photoblogs (ex. Flickr) and videoblogs were born. And then, the so-called social networking sites (of which Multiply really is; also Friendster and, later, Facebook), all with their respective blog featues.

Even the mainstream sites like CNN, BBC and Wired added blogs of their own reporters and anchors. GMA has its own, as does ABS-CBN

As for recommendations, depende sa hilig mo (music, I presume; there are blogs about computers and technology, culture, design, sports, cooking, etc. Practically about anything under the sun).

uso ngayon ang Tumblr tsaka mga micro-blogs (Plurk, Twitter)... still, para sa kin walang tatalo sa Multiply pagdating sa features, kaso naging online marketplace-oriented na kasi sila.

Yep. I also use WordPress for my blog. Pero mas maganda kung ikaw maghohost kasi medyo restrictive 'yung sa wordpress.com.

nahassle din ako noon dito...nag Blogspot/Blogger din ako kaso isang post lang ako tapos abandon na dahil naguluhan nako...

tapos guamawa naman ako ng Wordpress, tapos tinamad narin ako dahil hinid nako makapagisip ng magandang susulatin..ayoko naman yung basta bastang nagpopost lang...may 3-4 ata akong napost sa wordpress ko, tungkol pa yung sa experience ko sa Coheed in Manila...

baka buhayin ko ulit yun para lang may mapaglagyan yung nasusulat ko recently.

Tama ka jan, kailangan magbayad para mapalitan mo yung CSS, pati na rin mapalaki ang space na pwede mong i-upload na pictures... Tapos yung videopress nila, hindi libre...

Anyway, mas maganda pa rin ang wordpress kesa blogger. (yung Panalong Kuha dati nasa blogspot/blogger...)
