We all love Raymz...grabe during my high school days talagang favorite ko palo ng eheads, hanggang ngayon nabakat sa isip ko ang mga signature patterns at fills ni raymund, ang linis ng palo niya nung Reunion, naaalala ko pa nun nung 1997 sa Quirino Grandstand, Adidas StreetBall Challenge, kami nagsetup ng sound sytem dun, I was just 15 back then, dumidikit ako kila raymund nun sa stage nung di pa sila tumutugtog kasi maaga sila dumating, tambay sila sa stage, tapos bumili pa nga sila ng ice cream, tawa ako ng tawa nun sigaw sila ng sigaw "Manong!Manong!

Ayos yung concert hehe. Insomya, Alkohol at Slow Mo ang mga kinanta niya.

Yamaha Maple Custom and Sabian AAX performance pack + China gamit niya, I think.

I had the privelege of watching the Eheads jam last friday, the day before the FINAL SET! Thanks to Mike Dizon and Raimund for letting me in :)

Anyway Raimund used a Yamaha Maple Kit, with Mike's 6.5x14 Gretsch Renown snare drum, a Pearl Eliminator pedal, 14" Pre-serial New Beats, 18" A Custom Projection Crash, 20" Sabian AAX ride, and an 18" Paiste China (not sure what model, I didnt really check hehe)! il post some pics soon!

lahat ng mga galing natin or any knowledges, si Lord po yung nagbigay saatin. Basta't practice lang ng practice.

Si Raymond, nag adik siguro sa drums yan.
Ask ko lang, kaninong set yung ginamit niya, I wonder If he owns a personal kit?
drumming is my greatest way to praise the Lord!

Alam ko may set si Raimund sa bahay niya. Drummer talaga yan. If you watch and listen to him play drums its very inspiring actually. He has good technique and clever chops! Here's a link to check out his set during the FINAL SET:

REALLY sir?

PDP Popcorn Snare? Because I have been in constant wonder what his snare is. I believe he managed to retain his signature snare sound since the Circus recording.

I have been listening closely to his drumming through the years. True enough, Raims is one of the most innovative drummers of our time. He lets out raw energy but never loses his focus. He, along with Markmaya and a few others, come from a rare breed of drummers who don't look constipated when experiencing catharsis. I know I do.

The very first song I ever played live behind the kit is Torpedo. I guess that's where my drive came from.

BTT: Raims as drummer is as good as Raims the frontman/songwriter. He seems to enjoy fronting Sandwich, and why not? I think he's doing a great job. He also writes well since the Eheads days (Maalalahanin, Yoko, Flat Tire are my favorites).

I thank this dude for the decade-long influence. Soon enough, I will be wearing Nike SBs.

And probably buying a PDP Popcorn Snare.

I think Raims owns a Ludwig Vistalites set; yung acrylic drums na sumikat sa paggamit ni Bonzo at ni Carl Palmer.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks!

in contrast to this, i am of the opinion that raymund's drumming tastefully evolved throughout his tenure with the eheads. unlike wolf gemora, who has remained predictable and static.

but that's just me. :)

really? wolf gemora can be innovative given the right nuances. i think there's a big jump from his style in the first album to semenelin.

i theorize this comes with the songwriting. as the songwriting mature, it elicits maturity from the drummer.
