haha. ako din. nayayabangan ako sa kanila bilang mga tao. masyado nilang inaangat ang mga sarili nila bilang mga 'rakstars'. pero ayus naman talaga ang mga kanta nila. yung iba lang ha. hehe.

Lennon was a crappy person...

- Whenever he saw a crippled or handicapped person, he would shout stuff like "Freak!" and reduce the person to tears.

- He was a crappy father. After he and Yoko got together, he completely ignored his first son Julian. It got to the point where Julian, as a child, asked his mom Cynthia (John's first wife), "If dad is always singing about love and peace, how come he hates me?"

etc etc.

Marami pa, you can read about the things he did in any Lennon biography. He was a troubled person but a great, great artist.

ah oo ito alam ko. siguro dahil na rin sa droga. droga lang talaga ang isang bagay na di ko matatanggap ke Lennon bilang tao.

pero sa huli, aydol ko pa rin si Lennon. haha.

Sobrang idol ko pa naman sya noon.  Medyo "Life-Changing" saken yung encounter ko sa kanya.  Natutunan ko tuloy na "Tao ko lang rin. Mabaho din ang ___ mo tulad naming lahat....." Hehe....  :-D

that is, if you believe what was written of him in albert goldman's notorious lennon biography...which i haven't read personally but many of the reviews i've read show mr. goldman exaggerating a lot of details and using unreliable sources to make lennon look like a horrible human being...

true, he was no saint, he may indeed have been a bit of a bully, and he did do a lot of crazy things that i don't condone, but biographies of his like the one written by albert goldman exaggerate these negative aspects of him, and i'd rather focus on the fact that he, together with paul mccartney, are arguably the greatest songwriters of the rock era...
