Do you know any other movies, aside from "DrumLine" that features drumming?

i can't think of any other...well, "That Thing You Do" that starred Tom Everett Scott who was the drummer of the band (The Wonders) didn't really focus on drumming but it was good, though.

i want to watch more drummer movies, please let me know some...thanks!

starring: Eric Stoltz and Mary Stuart Masterson.

a cult classic film by John Hughes which came out in 1987.

Mary Stuart Masterson was a 'tomboyish' drummer who fell in love with her bestfriend. Though not a movie entirely about drums, she always carried her drumsticks and has scenes showing her bashing away on a Pearl Export(?) kit if I can remember it right...

Yeah saw this one years and years ago din.
It's a cute romantic movie na sana may makilala
akong ganong klaseng ka-cute na tambolera hehe.
Pero mas ok pa rin yung Krupa movie kasi drum set drummer
story tlga. Really wish I could see it again.
2nd would be drumline kaso di sya drum set drummer pero
pwede na rin.

yup alam ko to, pero more on wrestling yung kwento.... drummer lang hobby nya besides from wrestling....

SYNOPSIS:

Ever wanted something so bad that you would do anything just to get it?

"Tambolista" focuses on one boy's simple dream of owning his very own drum set. Set in the different slums of Manila, the film is taken from the point of view of 14-year-old Jason. A boy on the verge of manhood whose biggest passion is playing drums.

When his older brother Billy (Coco Martin) impregnates his girlfriend, the brothers and their streetsmart friend Pablo (Sid Lucero) try to come up with any means possible to get money to pay for the abortion. These three men show how the struggle to survive amidst their lives of poverty can also be a struggle for keeping their humanity in this intimate portrait of two brothers living in deprivation. The movie also shows how life is similar to the beat of drums, both having high and low points.

Tambolista...

this is what i'm talking about!

i'm not a big tagalog movie goer but i will consider this as worth, worth watching because of the following points:

1. ofcourse! there's drums and drummers in it.

2. it depicts life itself. some movies are to unreal and exaggerated but in this movie, it's as real as it gets.

3. it even discusses some topics of the thread here, "neighbor issues",  "GAS GAS GAS" and many more.

4. the cast - award winners and great actors!  Jiro Manio, Ricky Davao, Susan Africa, Anita Linda. i'm not sure about the others.

there's alot more...
 
and do i hear International Movie Fests??? (Cannes, Toronto, Melbourne) :lol: :lol:

siya talaga un.. nag drudrums..  di nga lang masyado focus yung storya sa drumming.. love story yan na nakakaiyak pa.. try to watch it..

wah.. nakakainis!  :x ngayon na pala last day ng showing ng tambolista? yikes. dapat hindi muna ako umuwi ng province. tsk. nasa makati/manila area na ko kahapon hanggang kanina umaga eh. yay.. sana may dvd na lumabas nito.

hehe pinanood ko tambolista kanina. wala kasi si cavs at autoexec. hindi naman masyado focus sa pag ddrums nya yung kwento. tungkol sa hirap ng buhay nila. pati na rin sa kuya nya at yung barkada nila na loko. parang lumabas na pumatay pa sila ng tao pang Gas nya sa drumset :lol: hehehe.
