bought my medeli e-drums set about a year ago sa music source nung nasa edsa pa cla.  It's really great for practicing, practicing pieces with a metronome, recording tracks from the console to a laptop, etc etc.  Do wish there were more live kit sounds and i wish the hit hats were a bit more responsive.  I guess I gotta save up for the yamaha or roland hi hats.  Too bad they dont sell those per piece here in the Philippines.  8-)

I've tried some yamaha and roland kits and the hihats of electronic kits don't really feel like the acoustic/traditional hihats. Ibang iba ang feel. Ang hirap kuhain nung mga nuances ng hihats.

IMO pag stock sounds lang talaga (medeli, roland, yamaha or any edrums), di talaga makukuha ang nuances ng hihat (or toms, snare etc). But if you pair your e-drums with a drum software (like Toontrack Superior Drummer), makukuha mo ang gusto mo ayon sa adjustments and fine tuning mo. Mas malawak ang scope ng drum software vs. e-drums module factory sounds.

some of our clients bought the ALESIS Trigger/IO for more sounds.  It comes with BFD lite.

The guys at the outlets can offer you the Trigger IO for less 20% due to the December sale.

You can't bro. Drum softwares are installed sa pc, then controlled via midi using your e-drum as your trigger. IMO, mas wise magsetup ng pc vs. buying an expensive e-drum module.

Some drum modules are now paired with drum softwares (like Alesis Trigger I/O with BFD Lite).

But my point here is not to bash e-drum modules coz we can't trigger those drum softwares without them  :-D (unless you're a keyboardist and you don't play the e-drums live).

Medeli e-drums are quite nice when paired with a BFD or SD2 (or any other drum softwares).

or, you could also load vexpacks sa td6 (if you don't want to be running a computer while playing the kit)

yes, tama, mas malawak kung sampled/software/vst. I was actually mostly speaking about the feel, specially on the hihats.

Yes. The feel is really different sa pads. You can get those "Surge Cymbals" from Alesis though. I've asked TMS kung kelan sila magkakaron ng Alesis Products, pero soon pa lang ang sagot. I'm also interested in those surge cymbals. Real cymbal feel coz it's made of real cymbal material, not rubber.

Wala kasing distributor ng drum vsts dito sa Pinas. Sana nga magdala ang TMS ng drum vsts dito.

As of now, I order mine sa Sweetwater. Ok naman ang pricing (actually mas mura).

get a 2-way powered speaker, about 100 watts would be good.  its not so much the watts but to have a good sound speaker that will have the right sound that would be distinct from that of a bass amp.

sir, ask ko lang, i have a fender KXR 60watts amp, pang keyboards sya (Keyboard eXtended Range). pwede ba ito na amp for the dd-506? i mean, will this amp brings out the real sound of the dd-506? kasi pang keyboard e, but ang keyboards meron din naman drum machine and it sounds good naman....

TIA :)

looking at the specs and picture on the web, it would seem to be good for it.
