Cocktail drums... ayus ah. Kyut :)

@Wends...

wendsworld,

try a gibraltar model 5611 pedal. just about the cheapest in the line. easy to reverse action. no problem at all.

drumster,

all i do is put together the resources that are available to me, one of which is your neighbor. another being the people i got to meet through pete. saka ang totoo ay necessity is the mother of it all especially with limited funds.

that's true. he helped me put together some of my most unusual intruments. he even made me my own "subkick".

sir tito - i bought a cheap drumpedal...successful naman na-reverse ko na ung action. Thanks!!!

Actually the concept of using the floor tom as kick lang ang gagayahin ko sa cocktail...double purpose na bale yung floor tom...pero i'll set it up like a regular drumkit pa den...

sir marvinq - pix ng cocktail mo ha

there are drummers who make use of this concept. they put a reverse action pedal under their floor tom and make it their 2nd kick drum. russ miller (the same dude responsible for the subkick, and the wedges) used a long tom for his 2nd kickdrum (12x22). he calls it DAXDAD.

si sir sunny(hotspotjazz) gamit nya double pedal for his 2nd kick drum...imo mas comfortable and accessible ung placement ng pedal nya compared sa reverse action na pedal...mas magastos nga lang!!!
