game over.  :-D

Uy, kayo talaga -- I'm not that bad!

That's pretty modest compared to some guys elsewhere (google "Les Paul Forum"). Nagumpisa lang ako a long time ago when no one was looking at those oldies, and just didn't sell along the way. Gan'unan lang yun.

Depends which Standards you're talking about. Tonally, they share a lot in common with the old vintage 50's standards with PAFs -- those old humbuckers sound a lot like P90 pickups, but are a bit less noisy. Those P90 pickups are "it" for me -- fat and warm like a good humbucker should be..... clear, detailed, and cutting like a ballsy tele pickup.... super responsive. Quite different from current prod LP standards in general. The red (now brown) special is the gnarliest sounding of the bunch -- galit na galit, spanky, and 3-D sounding. Zero muddiness, even from the neck pickup.

Wow, that '57 Special turns 50 next year! And it looks and feels brand spankin new!

Boy I wish I was in half as great a shape as your guitar!

Re: Shape: Well, me too. Problem is that as we get older and more sedentary, that "pinched waist" starts to straighten out vertically.... or worse, the establishment of serious "lateral spread". Kind of like moving from the LP to Bo Diddley's guitar and settling on a banjo...  :-D

+1      This is the "P90iest" sounding guitar I've EVER tried and heard in person. The benchmark!
