for me, a good sounding cable captures the true harmonics and is quite clear. also no frequency boosting and transparent to the source.

think that's hard to do.. hehe

i use swan exclusively hahaha mura lang sa deeco e

thinner than regular mic/instrument cables which i like coz they pack up easily and very compact. never had problems with hum or noise in 2 years so far so i wont be replacing them anytime soon

tourtek and whirlwind for my studio. for gigs, neutrik cable which i got from audiophile cause they ran out of nobelle at the time circa 1999. still works fine close to a decade now.

to my ear, most cables are good - till they break!

Pro co makes great cables like canare and belden, maganda ung pagkaka braid ng shields nya... although like what happened to canare, binitawan na rin ng audiophile ung pagdistribute nun. Don't be fooled, sa Raon meron pro co dynamic cables, imitation un, luge ka pag binili un

i've always been a skeptic because cables meant only cables to me.

mali pala ko.

naexperience ko first hand kagabi yung difference na nagagawa ng magandang cable sa isang earphone repair na ginawa ko. meron kasi akong favorite philips in-ear na gamit ko daily for 2 years na, naputol na yung wiring na malapit sa jack. maiksi kasi yung wire nung in-ear na yun kaya sabi ko sa sarili ko e dadagdagan ko sya ng wire kung papalitan ko na yung jack.

ayun, pinutol ko yung sirang jack kasama yung ilang inches tapos pinalitan ko ng jack na galing sa isang cdr king earphone. yung cdr king earphone kasi binili ko muna para as temporary replacement pero sobrang sama ng tunog e. di ako nanghinayang na putulin yung wire at idugtong sa philips ko.

guess what, naging katunog ng cdr king earphone ko yung magandang philips phones ko

nak-ng-topak hehehe pati tuloy cabling ng buong home studio ko papalitan ko na ng magandang cables. goodbye swan, hello klotz

its time to shell out another 1700 for a new set of philips in-ears

Sommer for me is the best I've tried. A quick A/B test between my Sommer Spirit and my Samson Tourtek revealed that the Sommer gives me a substantially brighter and louder tone. All good. OK din naman yung Tourtek. Pretty robust. I still use that for rehearsals and bedroom practice. The more expensive stuff I use for gigs. Actually depende sa gig. i.e. if I know I'll plugging into a bright Marshall valvestate, I use the darker-sounding cables.

Klotz LaGrange OK din. similar results as the Sommer.

I'd advise spending at least 1k PHP on a cable. Above that price point, mejo similar na yung signal response among the different brands. more expensive is usually less capacitance = more signal goes through, and less treble attenuation. = brighter apparent tone.

wevd used some known brands like proco, nobelle, klotz etc.. but this newly acquired strandz impressed us.. i think its their top model. they named it "bullet proof" since bullet proofong materials were used.
with that materials sobrang lambot tlga, ung ibang cables maitgas, hirap pag nabuhol, pero ito sobrang lambot yet NOT under gauged. its a german product but not from behringer..
