for those who are using a mismatched hi-hat pairing or experimental, tell something about your combination and kung may story behind how did you guys ended up using this pair that turned out to be surprising sa inyo would be interesting para sa mga fellow drummers...
pede din di sa inyo basta nagamit niyo and how the combination sounded.
wala munang k/z hehe or a/z

i previously tried an a custom 14" top over an old 14"preserial heavy new beat from 60's
sounded interesting sa brilliant finish over a traditional heavy new beat,parang brilliant na controlled chic with yung wash...medyo di ko masakyan gano di ko maintindihan kung ano nag ooverpower yung brilliance ng a custom over a traditional heavy new beat

12" k series zildjian dark splash over 12" bottom recording hats = funky! (sadly i sold my 12" k splash)

and my personal hats...this one is a keeper na, tipong madami ako ma tatry but i will keep this one.
i remember reading a thread about latin drummers about this pairing...
14" a thin crash over a heavy 14" new beat bottom

all i can say is very very nice chic,wash and any approach na gawin ang gaan patunugin. cutting siya from old to modern music very versatile...walang tapon

Considered mismatched setup na rin ba ito?

Meinl Byzance 14" Fast Hihats

Ganda siya, solid e.
Brilliant thin top, dark medium heavy bottom.
Perfect combination, nasakop ang low, mid and high.

pede na siguro as long as di talaga paired from factory... muka ngang maganda pairing nyan bro, wish may samples tayo ng audio kung di lang ganon ka trabaho gumawa

Bili kayo ng album namin! (shameless plug)

Anyway, nasubukan ko na ang combination na 14" A Custom Fast Crash over a 14" New Beat bottom sa isang gig. Buttery ang feel, pero andun ang solid na tunog dahil sa bottom.

Sa studio naman (Gig Studio yata), nasubukan ko gumamit ng 14" na top (wala nang tatak, pero naaaninag pa ang Zildjian logo) over a 14" Sabian marching cymbal. Hindi ko trip e. Either hindi maganda ang acoustics ng lugar, o talagang matapang lang masyado ang tunog.

experiment ko rin 13" a custom projection bottom at 13" k mastersound top hat na bibilin ko sa kaforumate dito sa katapusan...excited nako na parang confuse din kasi baka hindi ko magustuhan yung tunog...

ivd tried 14 Kcustom dark bottom hats and on top ay ang 14 AAX studio crash.
dark tlaga tunog na sobrang lambot or let me say parang nkakatamad ung dating.. probably because of the thin top..and walang butos na bottom(vacuum kpag nagoopen=bagal ...
or ndi lng type ng [chewbacca] ko..
kaya..

nag hahanap din ako ng pwedeng asawa ng bottom hat ko. tnx.

i love the 14 k mastersound bottom hat with 14 A projection top hat. the dark super clean sound of K plus bright crisp projection of the A. perfect.

i previously own a 13"a custom projection hats at nung nakabili ako ng 13"k mastersound top,pinartner ko sa acust.proj.bottom...whoa! Ang sarap! Great chick sound,for me the best but sadly nadispose ko na yung 13acustom pair ko kasi mas mahirap idispose yung 13acustom top lang...post ko yung sample video pag na upload kona...

Mixed matched hats, may mga suggestion ba kayo dyan mga ser? from 12" inch to 18" please give me your thoughts.
may mga natry na kasi akong mga mixed match like 16" acustom projection and z custom med crash. pero di ko na tripan yung tunog. thanks!
