Thanks jmreyes :-)

It's a 90's MIJ Squire silver series. Converted to string-thru with brass ferrules and refret by Elegee. Bone nut, superswitch wiring and 1-ply pickguard made by Arie.

Thanks!

nice! i dig the finish! :-)

Dear diary,

hay...

pagkahaba haba man ng prusisyon... tele na ulit gamit ako.

its possible na i played teles exclusively for so long ('04 to '08) that i now find it hard to get used to anything else. 4 years lang pero i play at least an hour almost every day. imagine picking up the same guitar (or same 2 guitars) every day for 4 years kahit nasa bahay lang (dahil wala nakong acoustic). its a daily habit. not really a "regimen" kasi i dont really "practice" anymore. i just play. madalas while watching tv. til i get sleepy. tas kinabukasan ganun ulit.

yung itches to wander happen when i get into players and start listening to their work more closely. i went into an LP phase in late '08 because i got into paul kossoff. the SG phase i got into last year was because of angus young and cream era clapton. in between those 2 phases i went back to playing teles din.

i learned more things (mostly about myself kasi i do read A LOT about the guitars before i start experimenting) in the process. stuff like: i prefer the SG to LP (both sa tone and feel) but wish i could travel with it and not worry about breaking it. but i also learned na i may like other guitars every now and then but a tele will always feel most comfy. so i am home again.

til the next time i itch, i guess.

After playing the Jazzmaster and Jaguar for a while, I took out my 62 Custom Reissue yesterday from the storage. It immediately became apparent why I loved Teles from the first moment I picked one up. It's such a joy to play.

+1

I love the simplicity and the tone of teles. The honesty of a tele is truly overwhelming :-)

Hey guys.:) I'm planning to get a budget Telecaster then modify the HELL out of it.

10k is my price limit. What do you guys suggest? Thinline Teles preferred but I don't mind Solidbody Teles with either ash or alder bodies.

Plus, anyone here know if the Gotoh Modern Telecaster Bridge comes stock on Squier Telecasters? If they do, I'm gonna get myself a Squier.

Proud owner of a Max Rufo telecaster by the way. It's just too heavy for me to play extended gigs and rehearsals with. I actually injured my left shoulder once. I've owned it for more than a year now. I can't ever imagine myself changing from a Telecaster now.

Concentric Pots turned my H-H tele into a 2-vol, 2-tone knob guitar... practically a LP, except for the alder body  8-)
