Basing on one of bryanarz thread, there's something wrong with the bridge when doing dive bomb in the JP60 model. I don't know if the new ones are already resolved.

I haven't experience that on my JP60 and JP100 though.....

Bryan Arzaga owns a lot of guitars.

Here's his review on the JP60 model.

The issue on the JP bridge is long gone. With the release of these new Sterling JPs, I'm sure mas maayos na ang mga ito.

Long time no Philmusic, :) haha

Meron na kaya SBMM JP70 users? This year I was planning to get a 7-string guitar, option ko yung UV70p before. Then Nakita ko nga as mentioned earlier sa thread, should be cheaper yung SBMM sa mga 7-string guitar.

Hopefully nga meron dealer sa Pinas, if ever try ko ulit humanap sa mga tumatanggap ng orders sa mga forumites. :3

i hope it is man,  there were two issues with the JP bridge on the 60 and 100 when they came out, i havent checked after that. but these were

- quality of the bridge base plate
- the location where the bridge is mounted (the distance from neck)

there are other issues and are fret related
- the finishing of the fretwork felt like playing through 400 grit sandpaper. you might not feel it when doing chords, but doing string bends, yeah it was not good

- fret sprouting, i keep my guitars in a temp controlled room. but when i play out, i dont have that control over that. i hope the new Sterling have their frets glued. ill be refretting that JP60 with Jescar 5590

I have a sterling JP50 a much older guitar (MIC btw) and i have no issues with that one, its one of my main guitars

Parang nabanggit ni JP sa Illuminators Vid na puwedeng may preamp or walang preamp.

Thanks for the reviews bro.

Haven't tried any Sterling JP models. What I do have is the Standard EBMM JP6 and BFR JP6. No problems on the bridge so far.

I read somewhere in the EBMM Forums that they already fixed this issue. I hope they really did.

Rey the Sterling and EBMM do not use the same bridges, well at one time the Standard EBMM did have its lower bridge post close to the high e-saddle, if you look at this ebmm bridge, the bridge post has been located away from the high e,

here's a sterling bridge
