Like cleanliness in playing at pag gamit ng metronome. Kaya I kept on reading old threads e, laking tulong talaga sa mga may walang hangganang tanong tungkol sa pinili nateng instrumento. Keep on searching, never stop drumming 8-) o tara post pa ng mga "mistakes" para marame pang matulungan na nagsisimula pa lang. Malaking bagay ito para sateng lahat, newbie o senior man.

Long live drummers! \m/

1. Not having the patience to learn rudiments. Gusto nila drum set na kaagad.
2. Not practicing with a metronome.
3. Not using ear protection
4. Using old beat-up sticks (may cracks/dents/chipped parts, halos napuputol na). Sticks are your main tools, so they shouldn't get in the way of learning the instrument. You're gonna have the best chance of success possible if your tools are working properly.
5. Not loosening up. Tense up your grip and you risk injuring yourself.
6. Learning how to play but not learning how to tune the instrument itself.
7. Hitting cymbals directly on the edge thus causing them to crack.
8. Over-filling. Inserting fills where it's not needed or appropriate.
9. Practicing their hand technique but forgetting to practice their foot technique.
10. Spending more time posting here in Pinoydrums when they should be practicing their chops!  :-D

guilty on any of these? nah

-Maru-Maru (smart alec, nagmamarunong)
(masyadong confident sa time keeping)
-ayaw magpaturo. Akala mo alam niya na lahat.

guilty ako sa overfilling minsan.

Time-keeping (consistent beat and time signature throughout the song)

No sense in all with the rudiments and all techniques of your drummer doesn't even know how to keep his beat in time.

Watch this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_wBrWaFkAA&feature=related
"Musicians are, in a sense, able to manipulate energy in the form of sound. We are able to understand the nature of sound and mold it to our liking. Among other kinds of professions, we are the ones who can wield energy in one of its purest forms."

Good luck :-)

Mahirap talaga ipaliwanag dito..
