GLOBE BROADBAND CAN'T GO THROUGH PHILMUSIC

Why is it impossible to connect to philmusic.com using Globe Broadband?  This has been happening for forever...

At first I thought Philmusic was just having maintenance or has just been having too much weight... But I made an experiment and was able to conclude that it is Globe Broadband who have the problem.  It just can't go through the philmusic site. Hanggang home page lang.

Anyone of you who is having the same problem?  I'm forced to rent from Internet Cafe just to enter Philmusic though I have an internet connection (Globe). The best solution would be to change the internet service provider however that would not be the most practical option.

read KitC's post (post # 16), he's also using globe, it's a DNS problem according to him.

try mo.

Use the folloing DNS Server addresses:

Preferred DNS server 8.8.8.8

Alternate DNS server 8.8.4.4

still cant access PM using google DNS settings... ayaw ko na dito sa proxy server di pede magattach file,smileys etc.

windows xp/vista ba gamit mo bru?go to control panel - click on network connections/network and sharing center - right click LAN - highlight internet protocol/tcp/ip or IPV4 sa vista and click on the properties button.click the radial button that says "use the following dns server addresses". dun mo lagay yung dns na binigay ni ryerus.

globe user din ako(globe DSL),and palagi ko tinatawag sa helpdesk nila yang issue na yan.kabwiset talaga globe.wala sila nagawa,twice sila nagpadala ng tech,baka sa modem daw kasi yung tama.and by the way,i go direct to my modem,alaws router.

nag work naman nung ginamit ko google dns settings.pag di pa din nag work,post ka uli kaagad,hanap tayo ng resolution.gudlak sayo man.cheers

sir GUMANA!! tanung ko lang kung anu magiging effect ng paggamit ng google DNS settings sa network connections..
at kung kapag pinatay ko ba ung pc at binuksan ulit ay dapat ko bang gawin ulit ung paglagay ng DNS settings..

walang dapat ibang maapektuhan bru.and no,the settings will stay the same even if you turn off the PC.

tried this setting sa globe ko sa bahay. di padin gumana, what other options can you suggest thanks

kahit anong setting hindi talaga gagana. gumamit ka nalang ng proxy server. medyo mabagal nga lang kasi dami pop ups.

In my experience, I've narrowed it down to one of their WAN IPs. If the WAN begins with 12x.xxx.xxx.xxx, PM won't connect whereas if the WAN starts with 18x, PM gets through.

Stupid Globe.

PROBLEM SOLVED

Go to www.scarcup.com which is a proxy host and type the address on the field on the site itself been using it for a while, im with globe and yeah d gumagana ang philmusic...

Just constantly complain, and wag ka papayag na ma-close ang complaint without solving the problem. I believe that they have this performance evaluation thing going on with their customer service, and I think it works because I'm using Globelines Broadband at home and I've had this problem solved dati. It turns out that indeed, sa Globelines ang problema. I can now access PM with my default settings without using proxies.

After exhausting all possible troubleshooting stuff via phone, they will usually ask you to send an email to helpdesk@globelines.com. This email is not working, and you should send the email instead to custhelp@globetel.com.ph.
