I bought last night yung USB guitar link...may cd na kasama for asio driver.

Then nag-install ako ng Guitar Rig 5 Pro.

Ask ko lang po,

2. Ano po mas ok gamitin, yung mga effects ng Guitar Rig 5 or kung may analog or digital effects ako na padaanin ko sa interface, medyo hirap mag tweak sa guitar rig & most of the high gain settings ang lakas ng hum.

3. Last, can i also use Guitar Rig 5 pro on Audacity?

Hi Sir,

I bought a new interface/mixer BEHRINGER Xenyx Q502usb.

No problems on drivers installation, both reaper & audacity detected kaagad sya like my Samson usb mic.

Last query po,

This thread is truly useful for learning. How about a recording school where we can all learn from the PROs?

Are we talking about audacity or reaper? Audacity is not exactly a great multitracking program. Should have no problem with reaper. Look at how monitoring is set up in both programs.

Ano pang convert niyo mga sir from "wav" to " mp3"? Yung sakin kasi( simple recordings lang using guitar interface at vst) pag .wav palang ayos naman tunog pag naconvert na sa mp3 nagiging distorted or parang may phaser? Ganun din pag nirender diretso sa mp3 using lame necoder.

wav is lossless format...mp3 is loss format

mawawala talaga quality if rendered to mp3...

You don't really "save as" and MP3, you render it, the save and save as functions are to save your work as a REAPER project file so you can work on it later.
To render it as an MP3 though, follow these steps:
File -> Render...
From there a window with a ton of options should open, it will default to .WAV format (Not sure if there's a way to change the default output), simple find the "Output Format" option, click the box, a drop down window should open, then select MP3. Then edit where you want it saved and by what name in the "Output File" box, and hit render.

You can render directly as MP3. Did you try this?

I render to WAV using Reaper, tapos to mp3 using Audacity, para may quick and dirty compression bago i-post sa Soundcloud. Bakit kaya may phaser sound yung mp3 render...  <_<

Weird... bakit hindi na lang direct render to MP3 through Reaper? May feature naman na ganun dun.

Yes, but when encoding and compressing tracks for uploading on the Internet, mas nadadalian ako sa Audacity, because you just set the amount of compression, and then amplify to a certain level, and you can easily see if the any part of the track clips before you even print it. In Reaper you have to play through the track and hear if any part clips, or print the track, and see if the clipped signals are actually distorted.

I don't think Soundcloud converts to loss format.

I upload in FLAC and WAV files.  Tapos when I click download, yung original file size pa rin ang nandun.

They have to transcode for streaming purposes kpag downloadable yung data mo u will still get the original file pero sa player sa page mo maligayang  :-D 128kbps mp3
