I'd have to say The Features. Definitely some of the catchiest music I've heard in awhile. Check out http://www.betterpropaganda.com, they have something there you can download...
Also Shellac, Rye Coalition, The Mars Volta, The Fugue and Mastadon.
Rick Springfield had some pretty good songs too! ;)

GRUVIS MALT! Hanep, na may alam sa kanila ah!
Guys, also check out MOTHER EARTH (funk, acid jazz) love that "Stardust Bubble Gum" song. "Stardust bubble gum, makes my tummy cum!" Haha.
Also the awesome THE BIG PILL. I saw them at the 2003 Vans Warped Tour and at SF and they kick ass everytime. They didn't have a stage, but somehow could gather and conquer a massive crowd with their jazzy, funky, hip-hop rock. They played everyhour that day sa isang corner ng pier where the tour was! They have a dj, a brass section, a percussionist, and their drummer is the singer who has his setup infront. And he does some crazy complicated groove stuff while he sings with soul, man!
You just gotta check out http://www.thebigpill.com
COUNTERFIT: awesome indie-punk band. They show simplicity could be complicated. When I first saw them, I couldn't bob my head with all their tempo changes/weird stops. AND I LOVE THAT. Influenced with a little bit of Americal Football, Cap n' Jazz.
Check it out: http://www.counterfit.net ALSO: http://www.polyvinylrecords.com for some American Football...another classic indie-pre emo punk bands (early 90s).
