tulad ko, dito sa philmusic,
-hindi ko nagagamit yung SEARCH button,(hirap ako maghanap dun :-D)
-hindi alam magmetronomes(ako rin)
-walang drum proper
-drum maintenance
-panay hangin
-alam lang ay tumugtog
-they should learn to tune their drums properly.(depends at the surroundings)
-walang focus(yung iba)

pagsunod sa gitara kapag tumututog, its a bad habit...
always remember ikaw dapat ang sinusundan, never skip the neccessary fills at covers, and dont add unnecceassary fills especialy at mellow songs

there are rich kid type newbies who buy really expensive equipment but not knowing what they are for, its a waste of money and a bad image, carrying around double pedals when you cover songs from hale and mellow types

there was this kid who once thought i was showing off to him during our set, nagmadali syang umuwi kinuha nya yung stock pedal nya chaka sya nagpaparinig na main pedal nya daw yun.

yung isa naman naka gibraltar intruder sya na double peds pero hale yung covers nila, he never used the slave pedal and consumed too much time setting up

to the newbies; never try to show off, maraming humahanga sa ganung tipo

yes bro, dapat ang beats ay sabay ng bass guitar dun sa kalabit nito.  :-D

2. Not practicing with a metronome.
I dunno ThiS.. :)

3. Not using ear protection
YEah.. I dont.. pero nasubukan ko na and ang sarap ng feeling..

6. Learning how to play but not learning how to tune the instrument itself.

I do really hate people who dont have the guts learning to tune their instruments..!! ive already encountered persons that do always want me to tune their instruments(drums & guitar)

10. Spending more time posting and reading here in Philmusic when they should be practicing their chops!  :-D [Edited]

i really dont know how to tune Drums...  i read all those instructions, watched tutorials in youtube... wala pa rin.

what i do now, is that i make sure all the lugs are equally tight and i follow that "star pattern" ... i dont care for pitch, i just make sure it sounds good and it doesnt have huge sound discrepancies like "tog" sa left side and "pang" sa right side *lol* ... they pretty much do a "tog" pero hindi ko talaga sila kayang i same sound on all lug corners.

the drum sounds OK to me naman... its not perfect but its good.

is this right? or chances are my drum sound is just WAAAAAYYYY out of tune?

am i in the right thread? *lol*

learn to establish your confidence para simula palang di ka natatakot mag experiment...pero hinay hinay lang kasi baka mayabang na yung dating sa iba, control din.

Hmmm, after reading SOME OF THE posts here... Here's what I thought..

-Overlooking one's self development on drums and while playing drums..
-Watching too much drum lessons that cause one's self to be over concious on how good he / she looks behind the kit / while playing on the kit...
-Looking in to too much styles and implementing them all at once
-Taking a jump on too many foot techniques that cause sprains and all
-No concentration when practicing...
-Not spending time on listening to one's self and asking for other's opinion on how well one's self is playing
-Not understanding how one's body should move while playing drums
-Not accepting mistakes after being informed by others on how one's self would play.

====
I personally hit myself on all these aspects and I'm still correcting at least a few of them now, thankfully because I do record my self on a cell phone.

Remember practice makes perfect.
Too much practice makes one dumbfounded..
To eradicate that dumbfoundedness you need to expose yourself and have birds of the same feather listen to how you play. What you look like. And accept Comments wether it is good or bad.

No one improves by perfection alone.
Even people who think they are perfect make mistakes.
