Guitar Accessories:I. BuyingA. Brand newSa tingin ko ito ang pinakasafe at easy-going na itransact kasi unang una napakasimple ng expectations mo, brand new yung item na kukunin mo, nothing more, nothing less.
1. Kapag sinabing brand new ang item i-expect niyo na brand new dapat.
3. KALIMITAN ang brand new ay may box, battery, adaptor, manual, nakaplastic and poster.
4. i-check ng maigi ang mga screws kung may bakas ng gasgas or binuksan na ng seller yung item. kung brand new dapat hindi pa nabubuksan ang item or narerepair.
5. Dapat walang scratch, minsan may mga nakatagong scratches, ang tip dito eh magpareflect kayo ng ilaw or liwanag sa pedal na parang tumitingin kayo ng dumi sa pinggan or basag sa baso.
6. As much as possible walang alikabok or dumi.
7. Itanong kung saan nabili or galing yung brand new item na yun.
B. Second hand 1.
C. Brand new condition1.
1) please, always do your research about the item that you are getting - it saves time and money.
2) read and research: you get to be well-informed and knowledgeable - less likely to get scammed. read the product reviews as well.
3) if possible, puntahan nyo na lang yung seller sa house nila - test hanggang sawa ka dun. iwas ka pa sa no-shows/indian. pag nagka problema, at least alam mo na kung saan mo sya hahanapin
4) extensively check the item that you are getting. wag kang magmadali. better safe than sorry.
5) go over the ad, read the ad carefully - some questions regarding the item you are eyeing is already there at the ad.
hmmm.. yun lang.
BUYERS:
1. Make sure na maayos ang usapan at lahat ng doubts about sa item na bibilhin eh sabihin na nang maliwanagan.
Gaya nga nung sinabi ni Sir Electrosushi, do your own research tapos chaka mo icompare kung tama ba yung nalalaman mo sa sinasabi niya.
i am from Davao City, so things are harder to me than usual both as buyer and seller, pero over the years i have perfected a system.
AS BUYER (applies only to items 4K and above, i give a lot of leeway to cheaper stuff):
-will only pay thru bank deposit
-make sure that the seller has a decent track record.
-check the seller's communication skills, age and work. the better the job is, the least you'd have to worry about getting scammed.
-check to see how consistent the seller is ... if i detect any form of inconsistency, im backing out.
and finally ... bad deals are different from scams. learn to accept bad deals and move on. i have had a lot of bad deals, and i am ok with it... i understand the risk in transacting online.
funny though, i have had more bad deals in pinas than in ebay or talkbass. to be honest, i trust them sellers more, hehe.

Percussions (Drums, Cymbals, etc.)Percussions (Drums, Cymbals, etc.)
I. Buying
A. Brand new
1. be sure to buy on genuine seller, i mean yung may permit,.. or para makamura bumili sa kaibigan / kakilala,.. if stranger ang seller, look for serial number for cymbals,
same sa drum shells, look also sa stamps logos if smooth finished..
compare the Suggested Retail Price "SRP" to the pricing of the seller
B. Second hand
1. for cymbals, if needed use a magnifying glass and check for dents or cracks around the edge of the cymbal , check also the hole it must be in PERFECT CIRCLE
second priority is the cosmetics, check for the stains and scratches, also for the logo, if the logo is still there check the stiff surface of the logo and compare it to the wide surface of the cymbal, it must be almost same in color, because it means that it was barely polished, and it was nice because its your choice to polished it or not,.. "wrong polishing leads the cymbal to cracked"
ask the owner for what cleaning chemical did they use.. decline if you hear metal polisher or any polisher used in appliances or "CAT/ROTC patches"
compare the Suggested Retail Price "SRP" to the pricing of the seller
for drum shells/hardware
check for rusty parts like washers lugs and all metal parts, it must be in clean good condition, still it depends on the price .. also look for bearing edges, cracks for the shell, no threads must be loose, look for the color of the shell and tap it, it must sound crisp, because if it sounds like "makunat" maybe that shells are soaked or wet once or more,.. that will ruin the flow of sound waves..
compare the Suggested Retail Price "SRP" to the pricing of the seller
C. Brand new condition
1. check for receipt and boxes, also look for fingerprints, "cause of handling with hands sweating"
look for dust if it is kept nicely.. in short it must be like new as the seller says,.. it depends pa din sa usapan and pricing
compare the Suggested Retail Price "SRP" to the pricing of the seller
I. Selling
A. Brand new
1. your item must be Genuine
you must be selling the item with your enough knowledge of the item you were selling
you must be reasonable with your price
B. Second hand
1. you must prepare and clean your item before posting it, for fast and presentable ads
YOU MUST INFORM ALL THE ISSUES OF THE ITEM YOU WERE SELLING EITHER SMALL OR BIG!! "damn tamaan ka sana!!TAKE NOTE OF THIS i'm one of the VICTIM! i will not include your name pero makonsensya ka naman!
take note of this sellers and buyers NO HIDDEN DEFECTS!
C. Brand new condition
1. your item must be Genuine
you must be selling the item with your enough knowledge of the item you were selling
you must be lowered with your price compare to the brand new
i am from Davao City, so things are harder to me than usual both as buyer and seller, pero over the years i have perfected a system.
AS SELLER:
-do not accept verbal reservations. only reserve an item for 3 hours, anything longer than that, i am more than happy to accept the money and ship the item to the guy that would pay.
-only accept payments thru my bank account
-put lots of good quality pictures
-write all 'must know' stuff in bullet form
and finally ... bad deals are different from scams. learn to accept bad deals and move on. i have had a lot of bad deals, and i am ok with it... i understand the risk in transacting online.
funny though, i have had more bad deals in pinas than in ebay or talkbass. to be honest, i trust them sellers more, hehe.
Other guides:Buying a DIY items guide:1.
Meetup:1.
CHARACTERISTICS OF A FRIGGIN SCAMMER:CHARACTERISTICS OF A FRIGGIN SCAMMER:
1. He/She keeps changing the info about the product he/she gives to the buyer.
2. He/She does not show up at your desired meeting place for a number of times.
3. He/She does not want the buyer to test or even post pictures of the said item.
MORE TIPS:Huwag magtanong ng stupid questions!
- "Nung binili mo ba yan naka-kahon?"
- "Paano ang tunog nyan?"
- "Bakit walang case? Diba pag bnew dapat may kasamang case?"
Fixed price is FIXED.
Kaya mag-basa muna bago mag-tanong.
