dude, dito saten mag-gagamble ang record company sayo kung bakya ang kanta mo or kung galing ka sa isang kilalang banda na maraming fans/followers. kung bakya ang kanta, madali ibenta sa tao. kung galing ka naman sa isang sikat na banda, may hatak ka na, susugal ang label sayo dahil alam may hatak ka. kaya ang rock scene dito hindi umuunlad. sa ibang bansa, major label or indie label ang band mo, kung talagang magaling, may aanihin. sayo na mismo nang-galing, dahil sila'y subok na. subok ng kikita ang label sa kanila.

ganito lang naman kase yan,pag ang artists dito nag release ng album dito lang talaga sa pinas. yung mga nasa states pag nag release worldwide. ang parang pinaka talo sa kanila,pag hindi bumenta yung album hindi na nga lang nasusundan minsan.

anyway back to the topic,ok naman ang franco lalo na nung year 2007 (i think) nung una lumabas yung demo (inyo). sarap pakinggan na halos hindi nakakasawa. pero sana magrelease sila ng bagong album na wala na sa anino nung pinaka una pang franco.

hehe, hindi po lahat ng artist sa states eh automatic nagrrelease ng album worldwide.. depende parin sa label and depth ng promotions..

i love Franco...
they may not be as technical as some other musicians have mentioned but i really love the groove..
i've seen Franco perform live.. it's really fun! but music is subjective and it's a free country.. others may like the band while others will hate -- i suggest you listen for yourself and find out..

ok in general ang FRANCO....medyo nag pasabit lang ung P.A. nila i think shelby ung name medyo may kakupalan lang...di ko alam kung bitter lang sya sa rock n' roll lifestyle nya na tagabitbit lang sya ng mag guitars kaya angas and yabang nalang puhunan nya...pero hey yah i'm not trying ruin franco's image man....They're Great

After only 3 years in the local music scene and one album to their name, MCA Music superband Franco, has broken up.
Word got out late last week and I have just received the confirmation that the band was indeed broken up.
Franco has made a great name for themselves what with members from highly respected and famous band members being a part of the line up.
Singer/Guitarist Gabby Alipe and Drummer Janjan Mendoza of Urbandub confirmed the news to me while we were together during Urbandub’s performance at the Baybeats Festival in Singapore this last weekend.
Word is, Franco fired the band members, as his goal is to now go solo. Franco will likely be keeping the band name but will instead be working with session musicians from now on end. In short, Buwi Meneses of Parokya Ni Edgar, Ocho Toleran of Queso, and Urbandub’s Gabby Alipe and Janjan Mendoza will no longer be part of the line up.
Franco has just recorded his 2nd album and played all the instruments on the recording except for the drums, which were recorded by Janjan Mendoza.
There is still no word confirmation on who the new session musicians will be.

fyi kakilala ko yan si shelby at di yan hamak na taga bitbit, may rehearsal studio yan at alam ko ka sosyo niya yung drummer ng kamikaze may tattoo shop sila sa teacher's village sa QC

anyway, for me hindi sila dapat tagged as SUPER band dapat FAMOUS band hehe dahil lahat sila sa banda FAMOUS there is no super about them except for that guy's songwriting skill from urbandub.

tama na ang isang def tones hahaha masyado ng magiging malungkot ang mundo kung madaming gagaya sa def tones at puro ganon tugtugan ng banda

"super" is subjective -- there are technical bands with shallow lyrics but with good melody; there are technical bands with deep lyrics with poor melody; there are non-technical bands with shallow lyrics but with good melody; there are non-technical bands with deep lyrics but with poor melody and so on... so it all depends what matters to the listener for it to become super
i also agree with bugoy that they're a "famous band" -- kasi famous naman tlaga - pero for me super na rin sila kahit na hindi super technical and some lyrics aren't so deep kasi the overall of their song is very catchy

music is a matter of preference... there will always be haters who will just hate franco for being famous or for whatever reason.. and yet sila rin ung surprised na walang support ang indie bands...

-- dahil kaya feeling nila dpat band lang nila ang dapat suportahan??

one thing i noticed nung 90's kaya daming band na sumikat eh dahil sa support ng lahat for these bands regardless if these bands were technical or not..

hopefully we can get this real support to pinoy music back and stop the hating..

Too bad disbanded na ang Franco. I must be biased because I'm from Cebu and I simply love Franco. sorry peace. And Technical or Not the guy (Franco Reyes) has the talent, the voice, and he deserves success.
