very nice LP! sir, i think i saw this in ebay? i was searching goldtop and this came kind of finish came out. do you happen to know the guy who specializes in this kind of finish? peter something...or something that starts with "P"

thanks!

Thanks, mahavishnu. You are right. If you saw this a couple of weeks ago then you are right. I got this from Ebay. As far as the finish goes.. not really sure who specializes in this kind of finish. I've been eyeing these guitars for a while now in Guitar Center and all of them came with the same faded out finish. Kinda like a mat finish. It's like the factory ran out of gloss lacquer and just decided to ship out the guitars anyways... or... they got to cheap and cut the finishing short leaving out the glossing procedure

I checked the top of this guitar (curious 8-)) and noted that the top is a real, thick plank of flame maple wood. Maybe atleast 1 1/2 inches thick from the top of the curve. No veneer which makes this guitar a bit on the heavy side.  :-D

Pfizer,

Ive tested  the arc300 in AP, it plays and sounds nice. I just prefer waiting and taking my time to find older guitars rather than buying something off the shelf (except for the squier esprit). Its an eg650 yata. Just a middle of the road model for a greco. But its unique in a way its constructed kaya I didnt decide right away to buy it. I'll post more pics later to explain. Thanks.

Its a bolt on without a neck plate. just one visible screw from the back and two screws from within the pickup cavity. Its actually a 'long tennon-bolt on', if i may coin the term. It also has a heel which regular bolt-ons dont have.

Jaime,

Ill always miss that 'Cherry'. Iba parin vibe nyan and the MOJO.

you must mean EGF650? with an F for Super Reals...meaning Flame.
Tele bought 20K. Upgraded pots.  FS: 30K  Trade Value BS: 85K.  Deal tayo?

Sir Mike (that's what they call you here right? Do you mind if I do that? :) ) can you remind me if set-neck or bolt-on yung IbanezARC300?

I actually like the feel of the Ibanez ARC300 more than the RJ LP copy I tried yesterday for the sake of comparison.
Kapareho lang ba niya yung Greco? And where can I get a Greco LP if I decide to get one?

pfizer,

You can call me Mike, as most friends do. Set neck ang ibanez arc series. The neck profile is not as thick as this greco  but some like it that way. Greco LPs are plenty here. every now and then grecos are posted here in philmusic. Take the time to try the ones that interest  you. I used to be a bolt on snob  :-P  but after hearing some, dis greco of mine including, I am no longer.  8-)

Toybitz,

Actually its EGC650. I have no idea what the 'C' stands for.

Ok then Sir Mike!

I'm a bit of a bolt snob as well I think. I don't really know why. Medyo prejudiced kasi yung ibang guitar players na kakilala ko sa set necks eh. I always end up yelling "My Vantage is a SET-NECK!!!". Pero okey lang ; 50% of the tone is in the fingers right ? :)

By the way, I have really small hands; my pinky is tiny which makes playing chords a real bitch sometimes so a slimmer neck profile might be just what I'm looking for. Now I just have to compare the Ibanez to the Greco in terms of sound
