same place you buy turtle wax products: in hardware shops. i buy 'em in sachets which are roughly P40 each.
i don't think it's the best. but it's more than useable. basta sa glossy lacquer or poly finish lang gagamitin.

not necessarily. but the silicone, which most turtle wax products contain, builds up on the surface of the finish. it's a pain only if you decide to have the guitar's finish retouched.

lemon oil? where do u buy these things? any specific brand? may nag sabi sa akin gamit nya for cleaning the finger board is linseed oil? which is better sir? :)

peavey meron lemon oil. got ir from audiophile. meron din sa lazer d' andrea brand nya.
lately ndi ko na nagagamit ung lemon oil, fasfret na lang dinadamihan ko ng onti.. :D

Kung gusto mong gawing relic yung gitara magandang yan ang gamitin para medyo realistic yung wear. Pantanggal ng scratches ok lang gumamit niyan pero wag sosobra.

ako nman 3M Stainless Cleaner for my strings, khit 1week n nsa humidity room, hindi basta-basta kakalawangin at nagiging madulas pa yung string! Gamit ko din tong pampadulas at panglinis sa fretboard at sa body mismo ng guitar pero kung nde ka sure, sa string na lang muna. sa experience ko kc ala pkong na-encounter n problem regarding sa finish ng guitar after na gamitin ko to!

pledge works fine for me....
pero.. when im using it sa mga electric guitar.. especially when its new... ineexperiment ko muna... baka kasi d pwede yung finish para sa pledge... :-D

Meguiar's ung car wax... un pinaka maganda na nagamit ko for polishing my guitars... ung nxt generation or ung nasa maroon na lalagayan ung may Step 1, 2 and 3... mejo mahal siya pero kasi pang car naman un... pero sobrang kintab ng guitar pag tapos mo polish parang glass lalo na pag black ang guitar mo... tapos kahit 1 or 2 months ndi mo siya wax ang kintab padin kahit konting punas lang... may nakita din ako dati na meguiar's for guitars na kit pero ndi ko na mahanap ung link...
ung mga small or micro scratches pala na cause ng pampunas na panget natatanggal ng Step 1 na meguiar's... tapos Step 2 is polish... Step 3 is protection... yung NXT generation un ung combination of the 3 sa taas kaso mejo mahal ung nxt... kayo nalang bahala pumili...
sa neck naman pinaka ayos ung lemon oil... orange oil na pledge will do too un ginagamit ko sa bass ko na wood finish...

Natry ko na yung 3M. Swak siya. Mura lang, 40php isang sachet. Sa ACE Hardware ako nakakita. Nakasabit2x lang yun sa mga iskaparate. It's very rewarding to search a hardware store, sa totoo lang. You'll be amazed how may different sizes of screws there are. :lol:
In terms of looks, very glossy yung 3M. Kala mo kotse gitara mo. Nyehehe. Try mo nga lang muna sa isang spot sa likod, baka kasi hindi pala hiyang sa guitar finish mo. Easy lang sa punas, malaking sachet yan. Tipirin mo. :wink:

sabi sa specs polyurethane din yung finish pero hindi sya glossy eh, matte ng kauti.... ganun yata talaga yung mga wood finish, tama po ba?
gusto ko sanang i try yung pledge kaso baka kumintab masyado, gusto ko sana i preserve yung dati nyang "gloss" ano po bang pwede kong gamitin?

Yes bro hindi siya pwede sa fretboard mamumuti ito sigurado, nasa 100 bucks lang ito sa ace hardware.
I tried before yung turtle wax but hindi rin maganda sa fretboard, ok siya sa body kaso mahal eh i think hindi practical sa budget. :wink: :wink:

body and neck - ernie ball guitar polish sa jb music kikintab na yan.
fretboard - Lemon oil meron AP at Lazer pero sa rosewood lang siya. Pag maple punas lang.
strings - fast fret AP at RJ meron.
