Maging confident sa pagsundot ng Gas Pedal. Wag lang over confident. Para bang drive with a purpose at wag masyado mag free willing/free wheeling, kasi nakakatakot sa ibang pasahero.

this part i like. i agree about not free wheeling (a lady friend of mine does this A LOT) mas maigi talaga na in gear tayo while we're coasting lalo on downhills, or coming from high speed slowing down (like entering a toll gate area)  :-D

yan ata yung tinatawag na clutch driver, ako i only step on the clutch pag mag full stop na, para di mamatay makina.

may nagaganap na poll and debate sa topgear dot pee eyts ngayon regarding this photo..

apparently this taxi is on an emergency and is counter-flowing like crazy.. no details was published kung a matter of life and death situation ba yung pasahero or whatever, pero naka on ang blinkers at naka high beam sya which is a sign of a motorist in distress and emergency.

http://www.topgear.com.ph/news/motoring-news/debate-is-it-okay-to-break-traffic-rules-during-a-personal-emergency

ako I chose not to join the poll but instead post my own personal take on the issue as a motorist and a human being able to decide in extreme situations once in a life and death situation:

"this is solely in the discretion of the authorities.. wag na nating ipoll ito since this will lead to a flamewar between the self-righteous, reactive, proactive and pessimists.. I wont tell those who are in a matter of life and death emergency to not counterflow even if doing so will bring them 10 minutes quicker to the hospital.. if they think they can do it without harming others then so be it.. but what I wont tell them is NOT do what they think they NEED to do in a life and death emergency situation if I cannot assure that I wont do the same if the situation is reversed.. I will not be the self-righteous hypocrite."

yortots?
imma badass!! <funky guitar rift>

placed in a situation wherein there's really no other way to get to a hospital or clinic, i will consider going against a one way road. but if at all possible, i'll just turn on my bitchdriver mode and drive like stink the right way to one

Best way is give allowance, ALWAYS. Ginagawa ko to kahit trapik eh. Tutal, trapik nadin naman. Haha

Of course, iba yung pag titimpla ka palang coming from  stop.

He wanted me to perfect the use of the clutch instead of the gas pedal. But after a month, he told me that dwelling to much on the clutch is only for the purpose of getting to know the sensitivity of clutch. So I guess it is only good for beginners or those who are new to the car that they are using. After a month, you must (for the sake of the car) already have the "feel" of the car you are driving. I hope that helps.

And another thing; when I was still a beginner he made emphasis on "Speed Up, Gear Up. Speed down, gear down", hinde pala "Gear up, Speed up. Gear Down, speed down." which is totally what hollywood films are teaching. hahaha

I have a Toyota Surf 94 (or so) all stock. Never tried it for off road. Though I was asked to join one.
