sa pagpili ng mic, primarily sa sound signature yan, kung ano yung gusto mo na response at sensitivity. secondary na yung kung masisira ba yung mic sa application na paggagamitan mo kaya tama yung statement mo na condenser isnt automatically better.
dynamic has a generally narrower response, but doesn't need phantom power and takes high SPLs very well. it's a great all-around mic because the mids are generally great, and with the aforementioned features, they're a great pick-me-up for anything.
condensers on the other hand have much better response due to the design, as well as the size of the diaprhagm. it does take phantom power and some aren't meant for high SPL use. condensers are also great pick-me-ups as long as there's power around.
If I had to choose though, I'd still take a hypercardioid condenser that takes high SPLs as my "versatile" mic, over a dynamic because of the frequency response. I'd only choose a dynamic (i5 fan ako sorry SM57 fans) if I had to take a mic to an excursion into a jungle or go sound hunting with tribes and shiz.
