^^, Major po b? Minor? Pentatonic? Harmonic? Melodic.. Hehehhe
-
di ko din alam. pero kung sa bass lines yan, i suggest using a note's 3rd, 4th, 5th, tsaka 7th.
parang ganito:
_____n_________
_n-1_n_n+1_n+2_
_____n_________
using standard tuning syempre. works well. :-D
-
depende sa chord progression ng song syempre. atsaka mas importante ang groove sa reggae, sipra ka ng mga reggae basslines mas mabilis ka matututo, ear training na rin sya as well. :-)
-
Kapa ka ng Coffee break... Marley.. Katchafire... Tas mga trad.. :-)
-
more on major scale tol

I play dif.genres.i like reggae..the scale.u wil use dpends on the roots.chord.f its starts in Amaj.u use maj.scale.minor chord minor scale..but me i mix it up.for more good sounds.like natural minor plus harmonic minor or blues scales...
-
-
share ko ito,,, nung nagrerecord kami sa cavite, earbender, si macoy pumihit sa amin nun,,, may pagtatalo kami ng bandmates ko sa isang part ng song,,, kung what note to take,,, dahil madami ngang instrumento kanya-kanya hanap ng pwesto sa chords, so hahanap ka ngayun sa scale,,, i keep telling my bandmates na "chong stick tayo sa scale para sakto tunog" at kung may ibang kukumukuha ng note na wala sa scale napapansin ko o namin,,, nung mga isang oras na kami nagkakakulitan sa isang part ng song, Macoy of SIN said "kahit wala naman sa scale if sounds good pasok na yun... take na natin ito..." ayun, at natapus din,,,
wala nga naman kasing golden rule na susundin,,, if it sounds good, yun na yun,,, yun na siguro ang golden,,, :-)

blues scale
-
reefer scale - parang Brad Nowell soloing
-
lahat naman ng notes papasok talaga sa scale ... unless of course pinag usapan nyo talaga na i limit sarili nyo sa Minor scale...
i find that counter-productive.
you use the scale to label the chords, notes, progression, etc. you DON'T use a scale to DICTATE the song.
-
Commonly used scale in reggae is a blues scale. That's definitely a minor scale. But anyways, you can try improvising it to suit your style...
-
Blues Scale.
-
Basta mga scales na gamit ng Black Music(Soul, funk, jazz, blues, etc.) applicable sa reggae. Groove lang ang naiba.

pinaka common na scale na gamit sa reggae would be blues scale. most of the time blues scale with flat 5th and flat 7th (common sa bob marley songs) :-D
-
Somewhat common: Major Diatonic, Minor Diatonic, Major Pentatonic, Minor Pentatonic
Less common: Minor Diatonic with a flat 5th (the "blue" note), and without the 2nd
-
Major
-
it depends on the key of the song. but most of the time, reggae music is in the minor keys.
Blues and pentatonic scales work best for this style. and sometimes, the natural minor also fits.
-
blues scale is OK
