Me and the my current bandmate (drummer) is currently looking for a female vocalist. The genre will be rock, blues, grunge, or anything that will interest us. We plan to make our own compositions, which will be based on your vocal range/power, but we will be doing some covers as well (if you can sing rock songs that are predominantly sang by males, then this spot is for you).
Our influences are mainly 90's alternative, grunge, hard rock, classic rock, blues, thrash, punk, even emo (think of MCR and Paramore
). Basically, anything under the huge umbrella of rock n roll. Our main requirement is that you must really dig your music deeply, love it to the core, and you are passionate in what you listen to, whatever rock genre it might be. In short, we are not looking for a teeny-bopper-poseur-wannabe-cool-type-of-chick-who-listens-to-rock-because-she-thinks-it-makes-her-cooler-and-hotter-at-the-same-time-but-doesn't-have-the-talent-to-sing-coz-she-doesn't-care-about-the-music-at-all.

So to summarize, we somewhat want to cover some songs that are sung by males, but we will cover them with a female as a vocalist (as you can see on the songs listed, maliban sa Monster and Spiderweb). Basically, the output will be somehow mainstream rock with a female singer (huge PEG natin ay parang PARAMORE, parang ganun, pero hindi po Yeng Constantino ang dating.
) As long as magkajive na tayo sa covers, then we will do compositions. We will be recording an EP as soon as plantsado na tayo. We have our own gear, and know a couple of things about recording/mixing/mastering, so we can do our songs and albums independently. I also work as a video editor at a well known TV station, it can be a plus, since I know how to shoot/edit music videos.
So the requirements will be:
- FEMALE around her 20's (or younger as long as you are not immature)
- Can sing the songs listed above
- Can jive with our influences
- Available on weekends (We have day jobs)
- Knows how to do basic songwriting, melodies, etc.
- Has dedication and passion on what she does
- Lives in Metro Manila
- Pretty and doesn't have a seloso boyfriend (Joke lang, hahaha!
)
