i did notice a big difference how your drum kit sound from another environment, closed venue or open...

so i always re tune my kit during open environments...

Sometimes. But oftentimes I would just remove the muffling (o-ring, tissue & duct tape, etc.) when playing outdoor where more resonance from the drums is needed.
So Be It.

pansin ko lang yung mga wooden platforms sa mga stage... nakakatulong din sa "boom" ng toms  and bass drum eh... ewan ko lang medyo ganun yung naririnig ko na difference eh..

Though in the Drum Tuning Bible, their concepts are more geared towards studio situations.  But the idea is there - The size of the room plays a huge part in how frequency waves develop and to what extent a frequency will develop.

In my case...  Yeah, I do tune and re-tune, depending on the venue size.  I don't really have a formula for it; but I just tune and adjust until I find the appropriate sound.
