Anyone here owns an Xperia Ion running on ICS? I'm having this issue of getting disconnected from the internet. Nag-research ako and some say it's a bug on ICS? Are the rumors true?

My favorite launcher is the stock LG launcher. I injected this launcher to all android phones I come into possession. This is the only launcher I use for technical reason. Madali gamitin. Madali maghanap ng apps from home folder and drawer

Nakaka badtrip kaya to kasi in time kakainin ng Optimus UI yung resources ng phone kaya babagal na response.

A friend of mine custom ROM'ed his cherry mobile and had that Galaxy S4 UI installed.swak!

Yung Samsung designed interface eh acquired taste lang. Not good, not bad, nakasanayan ko na lang cause of using note 2. I miss the Xperia interface of my x8, mas intuitive sa usage pattern ko. Eto namang PLDT telpad (Huawei S7 lite I think), eh oks din ang interface, medyo malapit sa stock android, medyo lang, he he he.

Some news:

Cherry Mobile has finally upped the ante of its units by dropping some hard spec'd handsets.

Google nyo na lang yung Cosmos units nila.ok yung specs nila.and if youre a hardcore modder for custom roms, daming local devs ang mabilis mag launch ng custom roms.

Im considering getting a Cosmos Z soon.

Enticing specs. But with the price, I would still think you get what you pay for. I have a myphone cause I needed a dual sim. I dont even feel the dual core inside. It hangs almost everyday. Pag galing ka outside wifi then bigla ka pumasok, sabay sabay maguupdate lahat ng accounts and message mo. And this unit tends to get slow when that happens.

Added another android device at home. It's Alcatel one touch Inspire 2. Not bad as it's free at plan 350 from Smart. 4" screen (480 x 800), 512 RAM, dual core 1GHz proc, 4.1 Jellybean and expandable storage. Simple games and apps work. Ok for quick social media updates checking and emails. The usual FM, digital media player and all that. So far, my wife is happy about it.

Thats a myphone pre, this is cherry mobile.

You cant go wrong with the specs theyve thrown in these cosmos units, clone ng samsung units yan eh :))

Plus as ive mentioned earlier, madaming pinoy na nagdedevelop ng custom roms to maximize the android experience of the units.

Ive been lurking in some dev forums and i saw some benchmark results that line up with the likes of S3s and Xperias.

Onga myphone to, but what im pointing out is you still get what you pay for.

E kaso nung time ata nun, wala nag dedevelop ng custom rom for CM.

Probably most current phones won't get the update since today's smartphones are planned up to 4.2 or 4.3 JellyBean. And what's with the co-branding??

This is not the first time they have done co-branding

Marketing strategy perhaps? Good naming convention and somewhat unique. Gusto ko ung ICS and JB in terms of sound. Pero Kitkat?
Android Kitkat. Parang ang hirap bigkasin.

hi mga paps  just want to get a little info about affordable smartphones out there. my contract with globe kasi is ending in 2 months time. medyo hindi appealing yung recontracting nila if i were to get an S5 parang lalabas na ang reward ko lang is ma reretain ko ang number ko  and i would still have to pay for the phone laki ng cashout . i decided to get a rebate nalang sa monthly bill. mas maganda kasi they would cut my bill in almost half hehe. now my question is what is the best android smartphone that you can recommend under a 10k budget. pwede naman lumampas ng konti hehe and prefer ko kasi brandew

things that i consider is

-Battery life
-speed
-may okay na gps
-user friendly
-quality resolution
-durability

and price heheh hindi naman ako brand specific im after the functionality  battery at tibay ng phone hehe salamat sa mga makakapag bigay ng suggestions

Hey guys... i need your thoughts on the smartphones na nag lalabasan ngayon. to tell you the truth medyo hindi ko alam kung anong bibilhin ko. medyo nalilito talga ako weather to get a samsung or our local smartphones na i must say really competitive when it comes to pricing and functionality. In not really comfortable shelling out more than 10k for a phone nang hihinayang ako. kasi for the past 4 years i have been getting my phones for free. eh medyo di ako na please sa offers ni globe ngayon so i opted to go on a rebate nalang then get a phone sa labas. I came across this low priced quad core phones. grabe ang specs yung isa myphone rio ata tapos i saw din yung sa cherry mobile na naka gorilla glass.  tapos vs sa samsung galaxy grand na dual core lang pero priced at 12k so the later phones only go for 5 to 7k pero man!!! sobrang layo ng specs nila. my question is okay ba ang quality at service ng myphone  at cherry mobile nowadays? and ano pa ba magandang smartphones. except samsung and apple? salamat sa inputs guys  :)

To tell you honestly?
The processor they are advertising, all marketing scheme. although tama naman. Quad core sila and whatnot.
Result: Naghahang at babagal din sa katagalan. Tapos ung OS updated pa to latest. It will only result a slower phone.

I have had a myphone before. Flashship model nung time niya. From time to time kailangan ko ireset ung myphone ko nun due to hanging.
My dad is a Cherry user for the longest time narin.
You will get what you pay for. It is a fact that after a year these phones will have their depreciation. But in the end, you will get what you pay for

That is my honest opinion.

thanks for the honest input paps. Im not really knowledgable kasi when it comes to this subject. ngayon lang ako mag ssmart phone eh . and Im really confused on what to get. yung cherry mobile i saw one na quad core tapos 1gb of ram. hindi ba siya enough for that processor? im really concerned about yung durability. baka wala pang isang taon puro problems na ako. things like that. some said okay daw. "bang for the buck" then yung iba naman madali daw masira. .

Okay ill try to explain the processor and ram in layman's term
Processor. It will let you open stuff on a timely manner. So kung quad core, mabilis siya.
Ram. This lets you to multi task. Kung mas marami kang opened apps, mas nauutilize ung ram.

Ngayon may quad core ka nga. Pag ON mo ng cellphone. Mabilis siya. Mabilis mag boot. Mabiis ka makapag bukas ng games. Ng messages. Ng facebook, instagram and whatnot.

Quad core, 1 gig ram? The samsung galaxy S2 was only dual core and 1gb ram. At its time, it has the reliability of not hanging until now.
I would believe and argue that this is much reliable than a quad core and 1gb of ram.

Ahhh I see... At leasti have a clear understanding of processor to ram compatibility and functionality.. salamat sa pag explain paps. selling point lang pala talga ang quad core feature but lacking memory to back it up.
