di pako naka summit ng kinabalu dahil first attempt na nakasama ko manipis ang hangin so di kami pinayagan umakyat not unless willing to carry an oxygen tank.
dalawa lang sa team naka akyat  :-(

pag ok ang weather at hindi high pressure, oks na yang climb nyo! may hostel naman sa jumpsite, dun kayo tutulog. then start trek mga 3am for summit+sunrise.

Mga Sirs,

I'm not into mountaineering, pero I heard the news about a co-mountaineer of you guys who's been missing for weeks at Mt. Maculot? Tama ba?

Human body found on Mt. Maculot in Batangas, report says
April 13, 2013 5:01pm

The body of a man was found on Mt. Maculot in Cuenca town in Batangas on Saturday, two weeks after a mountaineer was reported missing since Easter Sunday, a television report said.

GMA's "Flash Report" said the body was found by residents on Mt. Maculot in Cuenca town.

Prior to this, mountaineer Victor Joel Ayson has been msising since he climbed Mt. Maculot alone on March 31, Easter Sunday. He was last seen that day buying a bottle of mineral water at a store on top of the mountain, earlier reports said.

No details about the body have been revealed, however, and Ayson's relatives also declined to comment for now on the development, Saturday's "Flash Report" said.

In a separate story on GMA's "24 Oras", reporter Jay Sabale said that the body was found in the lower portion of Mt. Maculot's "Rockies", described as a dangerous part of the mountain.

GMA News Online tried to contact Sr. Inspector Joel Ilagan, officer-in-charge of Cuenca town police, to confirm if the body found was indeed Ayson's. But as of this posting, Ilagan was not able to provide information on the matter, stating that he was on his way to Mt. Maculot to check on developments.

The report also quoted Sr. Insp. Ilagan as saying that Ayson's family had already been notified about the discovery. The Ayson family is now en route to Mt. Maculot to identify the body. — Gian C.

Update :

Body found in Cuenca, Batangas confirmed that of missing mountaineer Ayson—NDRRMC, PNP
April 15, 2013 9:09am

A body found at the cliff of a mountain in Batangas province has been confirmed to be that of missing mountaineer Victor Joel Ayson, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said Monday.
In an 8 p.m. Sunday report posted on its website Monday, the NDRRMC said Ayson's father confirmed the body was that of the missing mountaineer.

"Three brothers of Ayson and a mountaineer and civilian volunteers who discovered the body) informed the father of the victim to verify the body through MMS and it was confirmed by the father," it said.

In a report on GMA News TV's News to Go on Monday, however, Oscar Oida reported that the Ayson family does not want to confirm if the body was indeed that of Victor Joel's. The body is badly decomposed.
A report on GMA News TV's Balitanghali said the Philippine National Police (PNP) Crime Lab has also confirmed that the body was that of the missing mountaineer.

"Ang cause of death ay blood traumatic injuries of the body, consistent with fall from height," said Chief Inspector Joseph Palmero of the PNP Crime Laboratory-Medico Legal Division.

"We believe it is an accidental fall. Wala pong indikasyon na sinaktan siya," he added.
According to the report, the PNP ruled out foul play in the incident.

Police assistance

Last April 1, Ayson's father Samuel had sought assistance from police in Cuenca town in Batangas to find Victor Joel, who had been missing since Easter Sunday, March 31.
Victor Joel had gone alone to the camp site in Mt. Maculot in Cuenca at the time.

On Saturday, after a two-week search, the body of a man believed to be Ayson was found near the shore of Taal Lake, just below a prominent cliff on Mt. Maculot called the Rockies, well-known to climbers and a visible feature of the mountain from many angles. The body was found on Ayson's 27th birthday.

A separate report by radio dzBB's Glen Juego said the body of Victor Joel would be brought to Philippine National Police headquarters in Camp Crame for autopsy.

Cremation

Meanwhile, a close friend of the Ayson family confirms that the body found was indeed that of Victor Joel's.
"The dental record matches with the body," Patrick Angeles, fellow mountaineer and a close friend of the family, told GMA News Online Monday afternoon.

He said the body will be cremated as soon as possible.
Details regarding the wake have yet to be decided by the family, Angeles added.— with  reports from Carmela G. Lapeña and Amanda Fernandez/KG/RSJ/KBK, GMA News

 at arayat (dahil dami POGI)

pulag summiteer here!!!

1998 and 2004  :-D

ambangeg - akiki trail for the win

though pwede namang ambangeg - ambangeg akyat baba

baguio lagi baba naming, then rent kami jeep papuntang ranger station

musta pala kinabalu climb nyo?

AWAY.

try mo kayang kalabitin baka tumunog...

isa pa palang reason bakit may away dahil may MAARTE -

try mo kayang kalabitin baka tumunog...
