it depends dude, pano kung yung naghohost ng file eh may limit din syempre limited din makukuha mo right?
Google nga may limit eh.

Ah no no no.. Sorry that's not what I'm trying to drive at. Gusto ko lang malaman kung na-aachieve nyo talaga yung reported speed ng linya nyo.. It's a simple inquiry.  :-D

Now back to my question, how about the others, nakukuha nyo ba talaga? Kung na-aachieve nyo yung reported DL speed nyo, consistent ba?

Yun.. That's the reason I'm asking. If I run my test using the Yokohama server, nasa 300+kbps ako. Pero pag dito sa QC server, 80kbps lang. What's with that?

Anyone?

wala pala kayo sa bayantel eh! for 899 a month, i get a 100mbps connection! HAHAHA

weird talaga, that's what the pop-up tells me once i connect.

"Your speed is 100mbps."

haha e ang DSL na binabayaran ko is for 375kbps lang. hahaha kalokohan.

at ang fastest download ko so far is 75kbps, mga 4am-8am.

Remember... the "B" in bps stands for BITS not BYTES kaya divide by 8 pa, and then there's packet size handling and all that mumbo jumbo. Network congestion also determines how fast your connection is at any given time, and more importantly, how far your location is from the DSL provider's switch. I used to work for the telephone company and noisy phone lines often are responsible for data loss, often a problem when you live in an RFI rich environment tapos the aerial distribution network is quite old.

100 mbps? Did they route a CAT5E ethernet cable direct to your pc?

Kit, since you've worked in a telco, may computation ba to get the actual download/upload speed? Some say expect at least 75% of the advertised speed.

If you happen to live near any of their switching offices, you might get better performance. I recently experienced a performance problem when they connected me to their fiber optic network; mostly related to power issues. It is reasonable to expect 75% performance overall especially worse during peak periods when you are sharing the pipeline with business establishments.

100mbps is your connection speed local to your modem, hub, or router not your server connection speed

That's the same problem we have with Bayantel. One of my colleagues here at Baguio is experiencing the same. Ang taas nung upload rate nya, ang baba nung download rate. Come to think of it, he is even paying yung 4k/month para sana mabilis ang connection for his offshore clients. its an ISP problem/configuration
