what i meant was no viruses sa mac os...but thanks anyway.. and yes, i'm getting a macbook pro. it's just that medyo nagdadalawang isip ako kung gagamit ako ng bootcamp or parallels. i know it's easy to use, but i guess it might make my mac hardware prone to viruses. although i've heard that parallels don't transfer viruses to the mac os/hardware since it's just a visualization program. still not sure though.
Your Mac OS will not be affected by Windows viruses but like all pesky malware, if these replicate within your Windows partition, it will take up precious space. The Mac OS (e.g. OS X, whether Tiger or Leopard) will still function as is. What was meant to wreak havoc in Windows stays in Windows.
what are the advantages of the macbook pro besides the higher processor and memory against the ordinary one?
Hmm, "ordinary one"? I'd like to think all Macs, even the old ones, are special.
Seriously, though, you might want to check this out:
http://store.apple.com/Catalog/US/Images/comparison_chart.html...di ko rin sure kung gagana ang OSX sa PC system. hehe.
they say best daw sa intel macs ang CS3. walang errors like the CS2 wherein kapag magkakasabay nakabukas ang InDesign, Photoshop at Illustrator, mag-eerror yung isa dun at mag qui-quit.
RE OS X sa PC:
HackintoshRE: CS3: Adobe Suite optimized for Intel Macs and Tiger/Leopard. CS2, for PPC Macs.
... i like doodling photos, music and videos. since you can install windows, i can still do office stuff.
A-boi, looks like the MBP will suit your needs just fine. Otherwise, just upgrade the RAM and/or HD of the MB. But you know what, even a maxed-out, first-owned PowerBook will handle you needs without sweat.
...by the way, have you heard of kingston replacement rams for macbook? it is way cheaper than those apple. My collegue, said it is the same. Don't know what to choose from though.
Intel Macs can take Kingston, Transcend, Micron and other branded RAMs that are DDR2 SDRAM 667 (MBP, MB). HTH.
