thanks dude.. VST lang gamit ko... nageexperiment ako instead using original key of G... pero mas malayo kaya gamit ako ng ibang note.. pinili ko E note as my pitch axis...

well its a very nice take..so unpredictable..the backing track is so steady and firm..well if the "etude" is showing the possibilities of modal theory application then it lands on the target point as its shown..but in some points, the modes require a certain set of chord progression to fit in the song as what the pitch axis theory suggests that for each mode, there is a certain chord that accompanies it..

but then well a very good take.. nice tone too.. ganda nung pagiging mataba nung tone..more power mr.mendiola.. by the way tuloy ba yung shred manila event sa may 20, 2009, 7pm at eastwood libis.. with 150 entrance fee with beer na?? thanks..

may ticket po ba?? interested kasi ako kaya kung may ticket eh gusto ko na sana kumuha..

Thanks sa comments... though ang lydian mode parang ng pinakinggan ko pilit na pinasok... but comparing to its original key which is G... when i tried using this key sa all modes.. may sintunado talaga... its an experiment lang naman..

VST gamit ko Nomad Factory sa setting ng tone

"by the way tuloy ba yung shred manila event sa may 20, 2009, 7pm at eastwood libis.. with 150 entrance fee with beer na?? thanks.. "

Yes tuloy po ito.. wala pong ticket... don na po mismo babayaran sa dredd... kita kits...

thanks

+1

as what im hoping for as a way of putting it

just because puts in all black and white it doesn't mean some areas needs to be shifted

and ETM if thats your tone thats your tone  :-)

thanks bry for backing up.. thats a big help..pero okay yung etude ni sir mendiola ah..i remembered, joe satriani had a lesson of chord progressions covering all 12 keys right..i just forgot the title of the lesson.. well same here but covering naman all diatonic modes of the major scale..at matindi pa nun eh sinunod ni sir mendiola ang format na Ion-Dor-Phr-Lyd-Mix-Aeo_Loc..hehehe..

search ko nga din yung NOMAD FACTORY.. is that a free VST plugin which we can download kagad???

thanks for the info.. so wala na palang tickets.. so it first come first served basis po pala..by the way sir mendiola, id like to ask, diba po eh yung main performance is yung noel mendez set po diba, and featured artists like you sir will also perform, id like to aks kung may mga other artist performances din po ba na hindi bonafide member ng shred manila?? thanks

i have the doug doppler lessons and he specifically said some notes need to be shifted depending on the progression, Matthias IA does some unconventional stuff but again it fits

i have that, i can share but i think TH1, GuitarRig3, and other plugs can do better sound quality wise, dimitar nalbantov is using TH1 for his third album, the second album was completely done using guitarrig3 and it sounds amazing!

i.....some notes need to be shifted depending on the progression

this is SO TRUE..... a single change of even one note in a scale matters a lot.

you can pm me your email then i can send you an installer.. nomad factory bundle ata ang nasa akin...

actually i also agree w/ your comments and opinions... nothing against about it... its the standard way to understand the theories in playing... but we can always experiment in exploring sounds.. sometimes by getting out of the box we normally discover new ideas, new concepts, etc... just like other great guitarists did...

there is this difference between being in tune and being out of tune, this isn't a put down at all, those who actually comment and pointing out things like this are those who care more,

but if thats whats called experimentation of sound in your heart, so be i:wink:
