Mas magaan ang Gibson kaysa Epiphone. maski yun Gibson Traditional mas magaan. lalo pa yun Gibson Standard.  :-D

talga? i haven't tried a Gibson LP, i'll keep this in mind, slamat sir

A wider guitar strap could help ease your problem

baka screamous gamit mo is straplock. medyo ganun tlga magiging feel mo. try mo gumamit ng mas malapad na strap.

I'm not sure, i think sakto lang yung strap? any comfy strap na pwede nyo i-suggest?

Get a chambered les paul. If you want high end stuff, get a CR8. It's one of the lightest les pauls that i have ever tried.

i tried looking for those LPs that you mentioned whoa they are like $1500+ on ebay,

i found some standards that has a price that starts with $700, tingin nyo ba mas magaan na yng ganoon klase?,

btw OT sa concern ko, are there any differences in wood tone kung may weight reduction or something ganun ang isang LP?

at least 3 inch wide strap will help.

kung affordable gibson, look at the gibson les paul studio models. wala lang yun mga bindings.

put it this way, epi lp vs gibson lp-- mas magaan ang gibson lp

les paul vs strat/tele -- mas magaan ang strat/tele.

mabigat kase ang mahogany wood.

Personally for les pauls I prefer the wide and stiff leather ones (think of weightlifting belts).  It's just physics.  A rigid material across your shoulders will distribute weight more evenly.  And you can always add padding if you really want comfort, or if the edges dig in too much.

The Gibson straps are nice, but the ones that fit the above criteria are usually the premium ones with the memory foam padding and all.  So you might want to check out some of the Levy straps instead if you are budget conscious.

All three of my Gibsons are light. Around 6 or 7 lbs. Check out the Mono straps baka makatulong.

Plugged in, I bet the difference in terms of tone between the different styles of weight relief is marginal.

Mapapansin mo lang sa chambered mas malakas unplugged pwede pang brownout lol.

Depende kung natural nakuha yung weight relief or kung thru chambering.
Sa resonance, it varies though. Some super light LPs resonate awesomely and some heavy ass LPs are dead.

^My friend does have a Tokai Love Rock MIJ before that was so heavy he sold it!

reason:

*might broke his back
*not sounding right.

before I thought that decent Lp's are naturally heavy because of mahoganies but because of his statement, my point of view changed.

So finally got a les paul custom!

Used to own a dame lp but this one blows it right out of the water. No match!

Epiphone Les Paul Custom Prophecy GX!

Tama nga sabi nila. Dapat testing muna bago bumili. Almost bought a gibson LP studio but this one just sounds better!

If I'm not mistaken, the silver-insert knobs are not period correct but I say, who cares? They look good anyways. Amazing how the gold hardware is barely worn.
