Actually, I never intended these for iPod use. Pang-monitor when playing drums. Kaso nga, medyo di gaanong maganda yung fit sa "kin (totoo yung mga review regarding fit, medyo malaki yung mga sleeves + I have small ear canal) so di gaanong sealed yung ear ko, di ma-achieve yung 26dB isolation. Hence the desire to try other sleeves. Sealed ba yung mga Shure sleeves? Dapat kasi ma-fit ko muna sa IE30s, baka di kasya.

Wag kayo bibili ng Philips Angled Acoustic Pipe design na in-ear headphones!!! Binili ko yung sa akin 2 months ago worth 1,750php sa department store ng SM!! Pagbukas ko ang nipis pala sobra ng cable wire parang masisira anytime kaya ingat na ingat ako. After mga 1month of use, biglang nabiyak yung left!!! Wala pang masamang nangyayari. Solve naman ako sa tunog niya. :-)

ganyan gamit ko ung kaso yung more bass version heheh 3 months na sakin wala pang signs of defect
bwahahaha

Senns HD201, nasa 1,500 yata. I don't know about the sound though.

Senns HD205, bought this for 2,999. It's not bad, just that when I tried Senns PX100 it actually sounds better than the hd205.
HD205

PX100

I think you can get other, less expensive cans with the same quality though.

Konting dagdag lang sa suggestions ni miss bianx, cause I'm a Senns fan myself.

Senns HD201
- Good bass, a bit lacking in high detail, pero overall very solid for 1.3k. These are closed cans.

Senns HD205 - "Naturally EQ-ed". The tonal curve IMO is somewhat scooped - pero the mids aren't fully recessed. It's all there. Gleaming highs included. Around 2.5k ata 'to. These are also closed.

Senns HD435 - Different than the ones above, these cans are supraaural and open, meaning, walang sound isolation. It's similar to the PX100's above. What you get though, is a more natural sound - moreso than closed cans like the HD201 and HD205. The removable cable + in-line volume is a plus.

Senns HD215 - Back to closed cans. These cost 4+k, but they're definitely worth it. It's similar to the HD205, but the bass response is deeper but not boomy - plus the soundstage is excellent. Best of the four, obviously. I like the removable coiled cable on this model.

I haven't tried these, but the new small-profile headcans look promising. The HD238 is especially nice. Available na rin ata 'to locally.

Ayun, pero there are other good cans out there. Senns are good, but they're not the only one. :-D AKG, Audiotechnica, and Behringer (to a small extent) have good cans too. Then you have Grados, and beyond...

Suggestions sir marzi? :-D

basta ang masasabi ko lang dyan sa 201 eh napaka tipid ng sound nya para sa kanyang price..i was expecting a "WOW!" coming out from my mouth(kasi Sennheiser eh), pero naiwan lang nakanganga yung bibig ko sa dismaya..

pero ako yun eh..im more of a "cheapo but fvcking awesome" type of earphone user...i'll check behringers tomorrow, meron ba sa trinoma? kung wala sa mega diretso ako..im hunting for that Kodak Zi8 din naman e..

The HPX4000's are around 2k.

A4Techs daw has a reputation for getting busted easily no matter how much you take care of them. YES. I've bought my fourth pair of MK-650 since the last one, the MK-510, got busted as well.

So why do I keep on buying A4techs? Cheap. Sound quality's not bad either. Besides I'm not very good with taking care of earphones/headphones. I've no remorse when they get busted, since they're pretty much my 'disposable' earphones.

Budget under 2K!

HAHA. I also have (had) four MK-650's. It's the ultimate disposable earcan.

On a side note, as of this date, my first Marshmallows have officially lasted twice as long as my last A4Tech. But I stepped on the left earbud and there's a very small but still noticeable amount of clipping na on the left bud's high frequencies. Oh well. :-D

The Philips Bubbles are low-end earbud-types. The A4tech's actually beat them in terms of SQ. Generally, headcans and in-ears beat earbuds.

OK naman ang Senn prices dito eh. Especially the in-ears.
Check this out. Much cheaper than mall prices.

eto:

FiiO Headphone Amplifier

Php500 sa GoGadgets... powered by 1 AAA bettery which can last up to 20 hours... if you dont want to spend much on batteries, may isang set na 2 AAA's + Charger sa CD-R King.. heard some good feedback on this item kaya gusto ko din subukan..

Yeah, I was gonna post something about headphone amps here, pero ayan na.:-)

FiiO E3 yan, diba? It's the best 500 pesos you can spend to make your audio sound better. I have the FiiO E5 by the way.

Nasa pinaka right.

The FiiO E5 costs twice as much, pero it's smaller, has a USB-rechargable Lithium-Ion battery, and has a clean/bassboost switch. The E3 basically has the same circuitry, pero by default, bassboost sha. Yung E5, switchable between clean and bassy. Plus it's like the old clippable ipod shuffle, so you can clip it anywhere. :-D

Is it good? For 500 (E3) or 1200 (E5) pesos? Of course! It's not an amp that'll massively increase volume though. Swak lang. Parang, if you're at 100% volume all the time, with the FiiO, siguro bababa ka ng 75%. Its main purpose is to make your player sound better. I let my friends to A-B tests all the time, talagang may difference sa sound quality ang amped and un-amped headcans. Especially sa mga may iPod dyan - a player that has a weak internal amp.

Another plus - yung hard-to-drive headcans na 60-ohm impedance like the Grado SR80 and the Sennheiser HD600? Supposedly, kaya daw ng FiiO.
