Title: Need help tracking down song from 1999
Post by: Randy_Philmusic on October 10, 2010, 10:12:07 AM
I was visiting the Philippines in December of 1999, when my Fiancée and I kept hearing this catchy song in the taxi's. Later, a Philippine phone company used the tune with new words to advertise some calling product..."collect call sa America".... It was almost a folk-pop song where children were singing to their grandfather how fortunate he is to have grandma ("lola"), because there aren't any girls like her now-adays. At one time I had the name of the song and the words, but I have since lost it and am having a difficult time tracking it down. Maybe someone knows it off the top of his head...if you could let me know it would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
