-sound stage, clarity, crispness, superb audio experience

 despite the shortcomings of the grado SR325e, super worth it pa rin especially pag nasa quiet room ka lang, it feels like live pinapakinggan mo.

I lament the short and fat cable and that it's not detachable  and those replacement ear pads (the actual cup shaped ones that come with the higher end models, whatever you call them) are hella expensive at more than a grand per pair. I think the open back design isnt a con though, thats how you get the really nice sound stage 

And FYI 7K na lang ang ATH M50 sa egghead!! go na!

Para siyang yarn, nagdududa ako kung pano napprotektahan yung mga wire sa loob nya plus kung paano magiging resistant to tampering due to daily use syempre.

I actually find them better than most plastic housed cables. don't let the material fool you, it's the weave that makes it durable. it won't be as prone to failure due to repeated stress, and it's more flexible than extruded plastic. these ones are also less prone to fail, or at least fray, near the plugs.

well, for 200 bucks, sobrang ok yung fabric wrapped! pero syempre failure point pa rin talaga yung mga junctions, pero at least mas mababa ang chance na sa gitna sya magffail

On a different note, what is the best bang for the buck earphones that's around P500? I'm thinking of giving one as a gift. It will be mainly used for (Youtube) videos and music. Don't really need high-end expensive ones kasi hindi naman maselan yung pagbibigyan ko. I just see him repeatedly buying CD-R King earphones or those P88 to P100 that you see at Japanese surplus stores and/or sidewalks. Any suggestions?

hmm my two of my churchmates might have been lucky to get our hands on a durable urbanears...
both of them has a Plattan, while i got myself a Kransen.
Mine's been used everyday (during my daily 3hour-cumulative commute, plugged to a mac the whole day-shift, then during gaming weekends)
my only problem is that it catches dirt. I got a pumpkin colored one and its been collecting some dark stains from who knows where. I could say its durable enough as I haven't seen any cracks, loose threads after 6 months.

My churchmates on the otherhand who I know have a more active lifestyle than I do had theirs for 2 years, and their the ones who recommended the earphones to me.

Soundwise, I don't like that its all bass when plugged in RAW. I had to tweak my equalizers to get that tone that I wanted (AULab for MAC, kernel-level tweak on my Nexus 4)

It's headphones,the one your churchmatea are using,as for my kransen maybe I'm just a bit unlucky?
My ex gave me the Bhaggis at her left ear was gone after a few months,while mine lasted a little longer.
I bought the kransen hoping it was durable,but I guess a little unlucky,huhu. I got mine black because
