Yamaha Flying Dragon vs Elims
« on: September 25, 2012, 05:41:55 PM »
Mga kapatid,

Would really appreciate your help. I am deciding whether I would get Yamaha's direct drive FD's or Pearl's Elims.

I just sold my trusty Tama IC's. nothing wrong with them. in fact, they were perfect. just wanted to try something else..

Any tips?

Thanks!

Could you explain why? TS is not asking for a POLL outcome thus your post would be pointless if you do not support your choice with some personal input towards the pedals.

if you just want to try out something different, get the flying dragon. it does feel different in every way vs regular chain drives like the elim and IC. shortest footboard sa lahat ng available pedals, medyo weird kasi parang kulang sa space. it takes a lot of getting used to but this is the most honest feeling pedal i have. if your footwork sucks, it will show. hindi nya pabibilisin yung stroke mo at hindi nya palalakasin. you have to do all that with your own foot and it makes you relearn your technique.

kung madalas ka mag gig, walang tatalo sa portability ng flying dragon. i loosen one screw beneath the footboard and then it folds. it fits on my snare bag or in my cymbal bag. no bulky plastic cases.

i almost made the mistake of selling my flying dragons buti na lang at walang bumili noon at hindi ko na sya susubukang ibenta ulit

sir peeves, thank you. honestly, i was already going to go for the elims. pero dahil sa post mo, i'm back to step one. sa part na looking for something new, that is it for sure! pero sir ok ba quality? may mga nabasa ako e. pero its yamaha so reputable company sila e..and ang available is this one: http://www.yupangco.com/virtuemart?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage_catalogue.tpl&product_id=2304&category_id=15
