I have not tried the Stagg si I can only comment on the Wuhans.

I would describe the Wuhan chinas as raw and inherit genuine china sound. They are very unique individually since each china is handmade and sonic factors really vary. I would strongly suggest them most specially for heavy music where you would want to really cut through or make a big exclamation.

On the other hand Wuhans are a bit harder to control on softer music because of its raw quality which tends to be a bit loud. The solution I found for this is to shift to smaller sizes, the 12-14 are the ones I found more suited for lighter genres.

If you want a more musical, fine tuned, shimmering china sound you are better off with Zildjians and Sabians.

i haven't tried stagg too, but the "content" of their alloy is more durable, hence my vote.

you can check out a lot of Black Panther's stagg china cymbal testing in youtube..pretty, chinese sounding for a china made china.

yes mas durable ang stagg sa wuhan, but stagg chinas are not that sonically unique, compared to the wuhans... wuhans really sound different, as stagg there are some MEINL chinas that can compare to STAGG DH. if you want to have a stand out dry explosive china with short decay. go for wuhans, for staggs they have this sustain as long as sabians and Meinl...

there are models that have short sustain..hindi lang available yun line ng Stagg dito..

something equivalent to Sabian's Fast Chinese.

but then, kaya pala mabilis ang decay at mapunit ang Wuhan..na sa trait noong alloy nila na sadyang short decay..hindi ganon ka "flexible" yun metal..hence, mabilis mapunit.

I own an 18" china and i like its sound when it cuts through the loud parts of the song, very good trashy effect.

pero bat ganun halos lahat dito naka 18", masyado bang maliit 16" for metal? kelangan ko rin ba palitan yung 16" ko?

hehe onga naman sir! natanong ko na to dati pero sa kakatingin kasi sa setup ng iba feel ko kelangan ko gayahin. "china envy"(??) haha. baka kasi bitin yung tunog o ano pagdating sa crowd.

nako... dalawang 20" pa naman mga china ko wahahahah

hindi naman ata posible maging bitin ang tunog ng china sa audience... if anything, obnoxiously loud nga sila e. sa pitch at response lang talaga nagkakatalo. kung gusto mo high pitch at mabilis decay, sa 14"-16" ka. kung gusto mo mas brusko at buo ang tunog, sa 18"-20".

yes!! tama ka jan sir plep!! ako kase sa gig pag hidi amplified ung set sakto lang ung 16 na DH china ko., pero pag amplified na grabe!! iba ang tunog., litaw siya., pero baka bumile pa ako ng DH 18 or 19., para kaliwat kanan ang china ko!!
