its easy to play really fast but controlling it is the hard part.
try practicing stuff slow at first then speed it up a notch each
session. it's the best way, trust me i know and i did it for years.

you can also do the so called "double bass sprints".
yeah you just let loose and sprint as hard as you can on your pedals.
it helps develops stamina and endurance. to control it well, it
depends how much you gain enough energy to get a hold
of it.

go to virgil's donati's forum. lots of double bassin
posted there just search them out.

pre - isolate your dbl pedals when you play, practice with them alone if you can using practice pads. do you play heel up or heeel down? from the sound of it, you have a hard time coordinating your hands apart from your feet. i started playing drums without a double pedal and even now, i tend to use my dominant right foot for double accents, only adding double pedal phrases with my left foot at specific times. some people play with the dbl pedal all the time but i figure i would get used to doing things with my single pedal more and gradually work dbl pedals every so often while I play. if i can get a recorder out to the rehearsal space, i can record a few phrases to better illustrate what I mean. if you need a good song to practice with, try Perfect Circle's Judith, I introduced my feet to dbl pedal use through that song.

I hope you can get Modern Drummer magazine's latest issues (August, September & October 2006).  Jason Bittner (Shadows Fall) made these 3-part double bass crash course lessons.  He prepared it really well, easy for drummers of all levels and styles to understand.

And that's right... Start slow (you need to learn how to walk before you can run) and practice with a metronome.

then 16th notes on both feet

its also important to use a metronome. magstart sa comfortable na tempo tpos pabilis ng pabilis. :)

If you need to develop speed, coordination, and control, you'd be better off practicing with your actual peds & Kit.
Much better if you can watch yourself in the mirror.Try to record yourself playing to check for improvement.
Watch the movement of the beaters from time to time(they should move with consistency to each other) and make sure both pedals are of equal spring tension, and angle from the bassdrum.
Check-out other drummers' pedal set-up and method of playing!

To develop endurance,or stamina; cross-training such as biking, jogging,or running up & downstairs would help a lot.

..most of all, be patient....Youre not alone on this side of the table!
So Be It.

Try mo ang ilan sa mga rudiments pattern using your feet

RLRR LRLL

RRLL  RRLL

Triplets: RRR LLL or RLR  LRL or RLL RLL and RRL RRL

Kung may book ka ng Stick Control use the exercise for hands and feet.

Or play a basic 4 pattern pero change mo ang bass value
                       4

mula quarter note, 8th note, 16th to 32 note. Using a metronome and change w/ intervals of 5.

Thats for starters.
RRLLRRLLRRLL RLRRLRLL etc

Watch some videos

practice with a metronome

If possilbe, get a teacher/tutor

Try to learn your favorite song note for note from begining till end.

Dami pang ibang paraan... I'm sure masusundan to... di ba guys?

Isa sa exercise na ginagawa ko is using different note value for the bass drum.  Example
1. Use a quarter note, changing to 8th then going to 16th notes alternate right and left foot.

Do each for 2 measures, or even 4.

2. Also practice using triplets sa pedal RLR LRL. The bold letter means accent the bass. To count a triplet try saying 1 Ta le / 2 ta le / 3 ta le / 4 ta le (thinking of groups of 3)

3. Now try changing the back beats for the snare. Madalas pumapalo tayo 2nd and 4th beat. Subukan mo gamitin ang snare on all four beats on beat 1 2 3 4.  O kaya naman kapag 8th notes  madalas ang bilang ay 1 n 2 n 3 n 4 n gawin mong rest ang down beats at papalo ka lang sa snare sa bawat up beats or when you count the n.

4. Change your Hi hat or ride pattern.
     Using quarter notes:     1       2      3       4
     8th note:                     1   n   2  n  3  n   4  n
                                       *   n    *    n   *    n    *    n  (* is a rest)
     16th note:                  1 e  n d 2 e n d 3 e n d 4 e n d

say choo, choo, choo choo (in groups of four)
                                                                                        1end 2end 3end 4end
8th note followed by two 16th notes, ang pag bilang nito ay: 1  nd 2  nd 3  nd 4  nd

(reverse) two 16th note followed by an 8th note.                   1e  d 2e  d 3e d  4e  d

dotted 8th note and one 16th note counted as                       1    d 2    d 3    d 4    d
(This one is para kang may sinok, lol)

Itong variation na ito ay pwede mo rin gamitin for your feet. Always use a metronome at magbilang ng malakas.
