drum miking suggestions...
« on: April 02, 2007, 01:36:03 AM »
hi there!

i'm trying to record a tama fusion drumset with three toms, one of which is floating. just ride, crash and hats, no other cymbals are to be used. i have 1 audix d4, 3 d2s,an an akg d112, and a single studio projects b1 large diaphram condenser (which is f***ng awesome btw!). my plan is to get an sm 57 for the snare and another b1 for stereo overheads and use the d4 for ambient miking. problem is, i have to record right now that vacation is coming, and the mics are not that accessible just yet.

any suggestions on recording with only the mics i have? thanks!
