Kung ako ikaw, I'd consider a Core 2 Duo setup (kahit yung pinakamurang Core 2 6300, talo kahit yung P4 Extreme Edition and yung Athlon 64 X2 4600+) and a higher chipset (945 to 975) that uses DDR2. That way, mas future-proofed ka and if you want to upgrade, at least you'll have the platform to do it. As for the 6600, try to add 1 or 2thou to your videocard budget to get a 7600GT (or 7900GS kung kaya pa). Tsaka 2 gigs of RAM might sound overkill, pero you'll definitely appreciate it pag nag-Vista ka.
Syempre kung hindi ka naman mag-gagames masyado, then medyo overkill yung sinabi kong videocards. Still, it's a far cry from the 6600 series for just a bit more.
